On the same day as asteroid 2012 DA14 is due to pass earth closer than many satelites orbit, we get this.

Coincidence? I think not.

The earth or really the whole solar system is passing through a field of debris left over from some cosmic incident. As ISON gets closer this fall, expect more of this.

I've heard it said that the end of the 1335 days is when Ezekiel's temple is built and the altar is conscrated. I don't know but it's an interesting idea.

I think that there is going to be more asteroids and meteors as well. I mean, there's a reason why earth's population is ducking underground when the time of wrath begins:

So somebody posts statistics showing that lots of meteors hit Earth every year and you go off on a rant about a series of disconnected subjects?

Meteor impacts are nothing new. The Tungska incident in 1908 was the last recorded strike of this magnitude. It seeems roughly every 100 years you get one like this. I imagine that it's been like that continuously but it's only in the past century that we have worldwide communications that we able to find out about these things.

Natural disasters have always happened, but with 24 hour news, the internet and worldwide media which loves to shock, the reporting of disasters has hugely increased.

100 years ago you might not find out about a natural disaster on the other side of the world for weeks or months, and then it would be a small column inside the newspaper. Now we have live TV news immediately with pictures and commentary.

Things seem a lot worse in part due to the nature of communications. Every single earthquake, tsunami and other disaster is immediately beamed into our lives at a rate which is unprecedented. This needs to be considered before people get too excited about 'end times' chatter.
