  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Either the polonium was created (primordial, not derived from uranium), or there have been radical changes in decay rates in the past.

The problem for Gentry is that the rocks where he finds his supposed Po haloes intrudes into fossil bearing deposits. This would require God to create the Earth with fossils already in the ground.

 I thought it was Satan who planted the fossils?!

.....
I can go into great detail discussing radiohalos, but I think it would be completely useless for two reasons. (1) You couldn't begin to understand the chemistry and physics involved that Gentry completely ignores. (2) Everyone here knows you have absolutely no intention of trying to learn or understand anything. You have clearly stated that you reject all evidence presented many many times over. Why waste everyone's time.
......

You are mistaken.

Oh, if the only goal or possible good result was convincinv AV you would be correct. But that is not the only possible good result.

Believe it or not there is an audience and those in it can be convinced. Or more likely are already convinced as to which side they fall on, but can still add to their education.

Speak to the audience, not AV.

Well, for the record, I believe evolution will be alive and well on Planet Earth when the Antichrist does his dirty work through the Tribulation.

It will take Jesus, Himself (not Aig, DI, or anyone else) to put an end to it once and for all.

Just how long is the Tribulation in your view?

Evolution is not change but sloooooooowwwww change. I do not recall any views on hte Tribulation that are long enough to allow evolution to play a significant part.

7 years.

This is just my opinion:

Revelation 13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

The Antichrist is going to put on a display of abiogenesis, and link it to evolution in such a way, that the scientists are going to say, "That's so easy, a child could understand it!"

Scientists today say that abiogenesis and evolution are two completely different things; but, just like electromagnetism was once two different things, but are now considered to be one, the Antichrist will do the same thing with abiogenesis and evolution.

Yes, just like the Antichrist was able to demonstrate Heliocentrism in a way that even children could understand it.

First, . . . to want to affirm that in reality the sun is at the center of the world and only turns on itself without moving from east to west, and the earth . . . revolves with great speed about the sun . . . is a very dangerous thing, likely not only to irritate all scholastic philosophers and theologians, but also to harm the Holy Faith by rendering Holy Scripture false.--Roberto Bellarmine, 1615

The Antichrist was here in 1615?

I mean, I know what John says ...

1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

... but I'm talking THE Antichrist.

Of course, dependent upon whom you talk to in the World of Christianity. With the Seventh Day Adventists it was a pope, I forgot which. With the Early Christians it would have been some Roman. Several times each century it seems some sect of Christianity is identifying some person or some group as the anti-Christ.

Amazing how many times he has shown up here.

Yes, THE Antichrist who fooled the church into abandoning scripture for the false teaching of Heliocentrism.

Not to mention there are Christians who don't believe there will be a "THE" antichrist. Funny how hard it is to interpret prophecy before the fact and how easy it is after the fact.

Repeating a previous post that destroyed your argument the first time around.

Methinks one thinks arguments can be destroyed too easily.

AV's fun to talk to, though, just don't debate on here with the expectation that any specific individual is going to change their minds. I don't even make that a goal of mine, I'm on here to improve my patience more than anything else.

-_- also, don't get your hopes up if you want your mind changed, I made that mistake.
