  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]There are over 1 million Muslims in the world and they seem to have a problem with the theory of evolution. If you have medical students that are boycotting lectures on Darwin's theory, then how close are we to the banning of Evolutionary theory in Muslims schools?

So, what you seem to be saying here is that the Koran has it right and all other "theories" are wrong.
I am not saying that the "Koran has it right" but I would suggest that you not make a public announcement to contradict that or you may have problems with the muslims.

Christians bring you Grace, the Muslims bring you the law.
You do not want the Grace of God, so now you get the law of God.

does that mean you side with the Bible or the Koran?
I am a Christian, so I side with the Bible. I do not know the Koran enough to comment. That is up to the Muslims to comment on the Koran.

And the point of the OP is what? So- Muslims don't believe in evolution any more than Christian creationists do. You can be a Dr without believing in evolution. I know doctors who are creationists and they are not lacking in knowledge or ability.

Generally here Creationsit means those thinking all the species we see today were all created by God about 6,000 years ago. I would not trust such as a physician.

They have already banned weather forcasting, so this isn't too surprising.

Hey, I have an idea, if they ban evolution in Muslim schools why don't you go have classes there? I think you will like it since you seem to agree with them.

Oh, and for your information, there are many more Muslims in the world than the 1 million you mention. Actually, the current number is close to two billion.

Of course not. I am just trying to make some sense out of why we had 911. There must have been a reason why they did that. Now that Obama has been re elected I expect Jihad to start back up again. It would be nice if we could figure out enough to stay out of harms way. I had a good friend that died that day. It was very difficult on the wife that he left behind. My wife has a cousin that was killed by a muslim bomber. In fact her brother had been talking to him just a few hours before he died. In fact her sister also was very close to where a bomb went off. So this is a real issue that we have to deal with. A friend of mine went though a location within one week of when a bomb went off. That kinda stuff makes me wonder if this is not a real issue.

Are you really saying I am not going to try to figure any of this out, I am just going to take my chances?

So they force people to claim that Evolution is false and put them under house arrest for the rest of their lives? Or was that Heliocentrism . . . and christians. I forget now.
Yes, people do get persecuted for righteous sake. It is you that is doing the persecuting here. So you do not even have a wooden leg to stand on as far as I am concerned.

So if these students graduate anyway and become doctors and one of them ends up being MY doctor, what's going to happen when they recommend that I have an immunization against the flu every year?

"But doc, why do I need a vaccination again? I had one last year!"

"Well, you see, the vaccination you had last year won't work against the flu this year."

"Why not?"

"Well, the flu evol - oh..."

Okay, here's my question. Why would they wait for Obama to be REelected to start the Jihad back up again. If starting the Jihad has anything to do with Obama being (re)elected, why didn't they start it back up four years ago?
