Concerning the election, I said to myself that if the Lord tarries, then I would prefer Mitt Romney, but not my will Lord, your will be done. We have to ask, was Obamas election Gods will? Ill get back to that.
About the economy, is Obama responsible for our sluggish economy? They say no! Four years later, they still blame it on Bush. But was Bush also responsible for the failing economies of the rest of the world as well? You can say if we go down the rest of the world does too but it kind of happened simultaneously didnt it?
Im going to paint a bigger picture. God has judged the world economies because of their greed and He allowed the Beast to take a big bite of one third of its monetary worth and spit it out. Why? We can all point our fingers at the Oil companies, Fanny Mae and Freddy Mack, Wall Street, the government unions and their entitlements, Enron and guys like Bernie Madoff. Notice how all their secret sins have been exposed and brought to justice.
The bottom line is this: God is in control, He is sovereign and He does have a plan. Hes allowing all these things to happen for a reason. We pride ourselves on achievement, prosperity, creativity and our capitalistic machine that made this country great. Half of us pride ourselves when we elect a president of our choice and the other half blame the candidate and/or themselves for doing something wrong. The truth is, that God appoints all the leaders. Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. Romans 13:1 NASB
Some people think that we can control our destinies in every detail but without God we can do nothing. A man plans his heart and the Lord directs His steps and so we do participate in His overall plan but heres the clincher, Hell influence us to go certain ways that lead towards what our ultimate destiny really is. And that is reconciliation of lost souls to Himself and to put an end to sin. We put a lot of weight on our shoulders when it comes to the prosperous destiny of our great nation. Did Obama summon Hurricane Sandy to slam into the east coast so he could come to their aid and look good? Was that an unfortunate coincidence that worked in his favor? It wasnt a coincidence, and nothing significant in life happens by chance. And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28 NASB If you believe that, than every event in your life happens for the best, including Obama getting elected!
You will struggle with what I am about to say, but its over, were done! The United States had a nice run for four hundred years starting from 1607, when a cross was planted on Virginia Beach and then this land was dedicated to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Its not just a financial cliff we're approaching, its bigger than that. The fullness of the gentile era has just about reached its apex and that includes the entire world. Judgment has started but these are just the beginnings of birth pangs. I wont go into details, you should know them, but I will tell you that we are approaching the most stressful times that anyone has every seen. The Great Tribulation Period, spoken of in the book of Revelation and in numerous other books of the bible is on the horizon. Specifically, human history as we know it will come to an end. The central vortex of trouble is centered in Israel. Wars and hatred in this region began thousands of years ago. And now, the Muslim spring is no coincidence. The Muslim Brotherhood is organizing while Iran is developing nuclear weapons and they will unite. A ten nation Muslim Alliance is a manifestation of the Beast that will attack Israel.
Can you see now why Obama has been instrumental in allowing these things to develop? Obama is not for Israel and the Biblical prophecies say that all nations will come against Israel. You can struggle with our destiny, how harmful Obama is for the U.S. and try to search for ways to recover from the mess he got us into but fear not, God has a plan. He didnt intend for us to live in a sinful world forever. You must realize that we cant solve world hunger and create world peace and prosper with sin in the world. He will put down sin and evil and usher in a New Millennium when He returns. He is coming! After the wars are over, then we will experience true world peace. There wont be anymore division or politics to talk about, only harmony and unity with one KING of pure heart and mind, Jesus!
