Why does evolution not make sense to you?

That's not biogenesis. While ToE does say that the first lifeform was a single-celled organism, it does not describe how it got there. That is biogenesis. Atheists actually don't know how it all started. Some say crystals, others say a magic pond, and others say a myriad of other theories.

It describes the creation of the first lifeform through the building of amino acid and nucleic acids in to proteins which eventually synthesized into the first organism.

Then I don't know what theory you are reading. To me, that is a separate topic entirely, and one that has literally nothing to do with the evolution of species.

Then you don't know about evolution. Evolution explains the origin of life as we know it today, how life was able to form from non-living organic material. To say that is a separate topic would be wrong.

Evolution: the process of change and diversification of living things over time.

I don't see how someone could be a old earth creationist. To me this is a direct contradiction to the scripture. In the old Hebrew one day from sunset to sunset is 24 hours. If God created the flowers one day then the bees a million years later. There would be no bees to pollinate the flowers so they would die off and without the flowers the bees would die off.

In the anatomy of animal structure the membrane inside a chickens shell keeps precious moisture from leaking out of the egg, while permitting toxic gases produced in the embryonic development precess to escape. The air pocket inside an eggs shell gives a chick just enough air and time to peck its way out of the shell. If chickens did not develop a porous membrane inside of the egg shell. not over millions of years, but in the very first shell, then there would be no chicks born.

The age of the earth is falsely taught by scientists by ignoring the rapid decay of radioactive isotopes at the time of the flood, ignoring the erosion rate of the euphrates river in the Persian Gulf, Ignoring the age of the earth and moon based on dust, ignoring the slowing of the speed of light since 4008bc, And by scientists fabricating false conclusions on the Big Band and the Red shift

@ChristainT I was referring to a species ability to adapt as well as erase it flaws or develop advantages, such as opposable thumbs. And actually Arcurus(I have no idea how it is spelt) is a perfect Pokemon. I think that perfect could be attained through evolution alone, but I don't think that we have enough time left in the universe to see that happen.

Actually, Arceus is considered the god of the Pokemon world...at least in the remote islands of Sinnoh. I would argue ditto is the perfect one, as it can morph into any other, mate, and produce an egg with matable...mates. But please tell me where you learned of this abiogenesis being included in the theory of evolution.

Your last paragraph is so ridiculously wrong its kind of sad. I literally have never heard any of these claims before. I have to ask, did you recently escape from a mental hospital. And who is the old earth creationist here?

You just lost all credibility when you mentioned monkeys. Humans are apes just like chimpanzees, orangutans, and gorillas. We are actually really closely related to chimps. Our most recent common ancestor that we share with apes lived 6 million years ago, and it probably was very gorilla like in appearance. Monkeys aren't as closely related to humans as you think. Our most recent common ancestor we monkeys lived around 25 million years ago, but monkeys haven't evolved nearly as much, that ancestor would look very much like a monkey of today. There really are no missing links. Evolution is basically a proven fact.

I didn't mean monkeys, i kind of categorize all chimps etc. as monkeys. So sorry.
and as for the missing link i didn't do my research properly. If I'm right it was found in 2009 - 2010? Sorry I was just going off information I learnt about before that. Which was still true, there was no skeleton completely joining apes or whatever to humans. Still don't even know if those sites are official though.

Evolution is a proven fact, but that doesn't mean the fact is always right. Theories always change and always will.

You sound like Shane did about a year ago. He was in a state of unknowingness and transition

That shouldnt be a problem should it?
If you havn't come to a point where you are considering these things then you really shouldn't be trying to convert us and point out our stupidity.

I have no idea of when I first learned this. It has been part of my understanding of evolution for a long time. I can tell you that Darwin did do some theorizing on the subject, his Warm Little Pond idea. I guess I should retract my statement of evolution explicitly stating the origin of life. I should say that some scientists today would include abiogenesis in evolution. I can refer you to the time line of evolutionary history of life.

No it isn't. I should just saying this because, as Girder would know, Shane now shares almost the exact same views that I do. When did I ever say that I wanted to convert anyone. I just want to gain a better understanding of the Christian way of thinking.

If it wasn't right then it would not be a fact. I also used the word basically to leave some for debate.

My goal is for the religious to learn from me as I learn from them and I hope that truth will be the same for everyone some day.

False. Fact =/= truth. Science is not in the business to establish truth, but rather to make models and educated comparisons to observable phenomenon. Whether these statements are true is not up to science. Facts can be proven wrong.

If something can be proven wrong, then it is not a fact. All Facts are truths, but not all truths are facts(In the sense that opinion can be considered truth, as in "the truth is that vest is ugly" that would be the truth to me, but not everyone else, so it is not a fact but saying "the vest is made from cotton" is fact and the truth at the same time.. Science is most definitely in the business to establish truth through observations, experiments et cetera.

Yeah, I'd agree with you there. Evolution is not a fact. Is it an accurate explanation of what happened? Almost definitely. Almost.
