I don't know that I buy that reason. I've seen several reports that are indicating it was a coordinated attack and the movie thing is just an excuse.

On a more serious note now: if rumours alone are enough to cause attacks of this nature what will happen if this "movie" now gets more viewers?

More accurately be glad that the Christian and Jewish religions, for the most part, have moved beyond violence. Perhaps in another five hundred years Islam with have calmed down as they did.

We do not fear being attacked, not because of a set of values that is characteristically Judeo-Christian, but because our nation's constitution prevents Christians who are so disposed from legally burning us for heresy, which they quite happily have done when and where it was allowed.

I remember a time when parady was funny; when it wasn't just liberals promoting liberalism and attacking anything or anyone who doesn't drink the Kool Aide. Politicians on both sides of the isle were lampooned, but all in good fun. There is no humor any more on the left. It's all founded in bitterness, hatred and total subservience to the ideology. After a while you just get tired of hearing the same old junk spewing from the mouths of the same old people. At one time Bill Mahr was funny. Now he's just a bitter, hate filled pig with no concept of humor any more. Humor pokes fun at people without ridiculing them. It makes fun of all sides because there is something to laugh about in everyone. It isn't funy to attack the children of poiliticians the way the hate mongers on the left have done.

The only exception was George Carlan. He was as vile and hate filled as any of them, but he was still funny.

Comedians used to target Carter all the time (and with good reason). They even ventured a few jokes toward Clinton, though they were more along the line of good natured jokes or jokes about his sexual proclivities. Nobody ever called Chelsea what they called Bristol Palin. You can't make fun of Obama, though, or suddenly you're a racist. The Democrats can't even laugh any more.

At least when Romney gets elected we can go back to laughing at the preident. Maybe we can even say that Obama called Romney's roof mounted dog carrier "Meals on Wheels."

Naaah, that would be racist.
