I haven't looked at the links, but no one should be so naive to think that only an oncologist can tell you what can work for cancer.
as opposed to......who? Some "natural health" advocate who can claim anything they want on the internet without having to actually back it up? Believing someone like that, THAT is naive. And dangerous.
People should do research and take responsibility for their own health.
No argument there.
Doctors in the US have cured people from their cancer using alternative treatments
No, that is utter and glaring nonsense. Many have CLAIMED to - but they are only that: empty claims, and not one has panned out. Repeat: not a single one.
and were imprisoned and lost their licence because of it.
Gee I wonder why. Could it be they were committing fraud and costing people their lives with their fraudulent claims?
Unless a cancer cure can generate big money for big pharma it would be ignored and pushed aside and the law is on their side.
Oh surprise, the "evil big pharmacy conspiracy" silliness - something else which is utterly unproven and the stuff of movies, not reality.
Dr Joel Wallach had to sue the FDA three times and won, just to be able to say in public that the trace mineral selenium can cure cancer after providing years upon years of clinical evidence.
More disinformation if not outright lies. Here are the facts (which anyone can google for themselves):
- He is a VETERINARIAN. Is that who you want to go to for advice on cancer for yourself or a loved one? Your pet parakeet, maybe.....
- He claims most diseases are the result of mineral deficiencies and promotes the sale of "collodial minerals." He has no independently verified evidence (or even sound logic) to back this up mind you, but that won't stop people from blindly buying into it.
- He has a long history of involvement in dubious healthcare schemes, such laetrile treatment for cancer (thoroughly debunked decades ago), as well as chelation and hydrogen peroxide therapies for coronary artery disease.
In short, he is a quack who delights in making money off of naive fools who will believe almost anything if a "doctor" says it. Scary. And sad.
Cancer treatments are a big money generating industry and people need to get it in their heads that when it comes to big money, people tend not to care about your life.
Ask yourself this: who do you think stands to make more money: someone providing treatments that work less, or someone providing treatments that work better?
In other words, if any of these "alternative methods" were legit, the so-called big pharmacy companies would be all over them and marketing them like crazy. Yet they aren't. Hmmmm
