Doing ok, got a cut above my eye due to being stupid, got to put handles on the taps while working on the bathroom, ouch.
My wife threw a surprize party for me at the church last saturday night, got me good.

Other than that all work and not much else.

That is cool that your wife surprised you. Sorry about the cut. Home repairs can be tough on ya

Just came back from church and it is hot here too - 88, but the humidity if 72%, making it feel like 96. It feels like August today.

After working late and being at church early for music practice, I am tired. I sing with a lot of energy and now I feel like a nap may be in the picture.

ahh a nap sounds great. I think I am going to take my bike out for a bit then relax this evening.

Ahhh! its hot here! about 90....Got some driving in today on one of the lanes on my Dad's property. I could've got my temporary permit (temps) a couple weeks ago but I need contacts -.-
How is everyone else doing with the heat?

Right now I am in the air conditioning lol. I did take a motorcycle ride a little bit ago.

I'm doing fine. I didn't nap, but taking it at a slow pace. After church I made a quick meal for my husband, teen-age daughter and her friend, went to the grocery store, and that's about it. I've spent a fair amount of time reading various things here at CF.

Hubby and I are reading the Love Dare book. So far it is very good.

Its hot here too!Went to church where my mom went all her life.What a wonderful service.My grandparents were one of the first people in the pentecostal church when it came to town in the 20`s I think it was.Before that they were Holiness Movement.I seen many of my parents old friends and got to sit and be with my favorite aunt,what a treasure,will remember that service all my life.Just got back to town/
A bike ride sounds so enjoyable today.

Its hot here too!Went to church where my mom went all her life.What a wonderful service.My grandparents were one of the first people in the pentecostal church when it came to town in the 20`s I think it was.Before that they were Holiness Movement.I seen many of my parents old friends and got to sit and be with my favorite aunt,what a treasure,will remember that service all my life.Just got back to town/

and a very muggy morning to you all! had guests over last night for dinner, and they couldn't leave for over an hour 'cause when they went to leave, we open the door, and someone said, "Oh, wow! I believe we'll just have a nice sit down again, and wait out the rain!" It poured for over 90 minutes, w/ the lightning thrown in for good measure! hence, it still being muggy this morning! it was nice to have the rain due a drought here, but man, that was just a bit on the lightning! glad to see the posts here from everyone, and thanks for the comments! i'll be back again tonight w/ more, i'm sure!

Doing it fortnightly, so went for a hike in a conservation park today to see if it was suitable.
Was great, a hard long walk, two and a half hours and only got lost once.

Needed a break from all the work.

Wow! I know about these FL rainstorms, but we didn't get it. I saw dark clouds, but they were to the south of us. We have had lots of rain lately, and some of which are those tremendous downpours you're talking about, and the humidity! Very humid this morning. It's only 8 a.m. and already 80 degrees with 79% humidity. Yuck. It sure is green and pretty though! And the ocean has been calm - good for small children to swim.

Yes, from Fireproof. It's better than I ever imagined it would be. My daughter bought it and gave it to us for our wedding anniversary. She's only 15! She's tired of seeing how her dad treats me, and her. However, as I read it I am finding things I need to tighten up, thing I've let slip. When it's all said and done I will not be rewarded on how much my husband loved me, but rather how much I have loved him. I ask the Lord to give me the will, the grace, the strength, all I need, to carry out His will. It's not easy to love when I see so many faults. My aim is to keep seeing him without fault, for he is. Jesus took the sin away so he can stand faultless before him.

I read only the first 2 chapters, neither of which are about that.
The first is about patience, not saying anything negative. The second is about kindness, it's more proactive. Very powerful.

A connect group....mmmmm....think that is what we call life groups. They are wonderful. Relationships with believers are a necessity. We are one body and each has something to offer. Things take place in these settings that can't happen in a service.

Bear with me, what is a 'fortnight'? Is it 2 weeks? We don't use that term much here.

Mmmmm....... I love those long walks.

I`m just getting ready to take mom out,then off to work so gotta make this short.
It is my moms 90th on the 19th Cindy.Neat how your moms 89 is on friday.We have the room down here where I live and having alittle luncheon for her on saturday.Will be maybe only 20 to 25 family and 2 best friends coming,as mom will probabaly only be able to do an hour or two of visisting.She dosen`t know about this.Thinks i`m taking her out on saturday for luch.Which I am.LOL.My brothers family is all coming from up north.Should be fun.

Cindy,I`ll have to look into that book when i get settled as when you mentioned how you felt it was just as I would`ve said it.So I should look into it.
