CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

In my opinion, you are sincere creationist, which makes you a better person than the professional swindlers who make their living from creationism; but having your tactics compared to them is not something to be proud of, instead it should set alarm bells ringing.

Creation was a supernatual event where everything that is of nature today was simply spoken into existence by an intelligent being where there was nothing before...that's your evidence?
No mutations, no freak lightening storm in some specialize swamp, no single cell to mutli-cell to fish to reptile to animal to man...except for whales which came ashore and decided they like the sea better so they went back?
IF millions of years is taken out of the formula (and even if it isn't - embedded age)...there is only Creationism or extra-terrestrial implantation...both of which would be intelligent design.
Just for the record, this will be where evolutionist and atheists will swarm to when evolution is proven impossible by real science....not God but ET
It is the denial of God that makes God so obvious.

Exactly! It is the God haters and God deniers who swarm to this Christian website, some honest enough to identify themselves as agnostics or atheists, others deceptively identifying themselves as Christians who provide proof of His existence by their attacks against the truth. If they truly believe there is no God, why go to such measures to argue against something that does not exist in the first place?

it is as if they feel like they have to "prove" how much they don't believe in God...
But it is not just that...they have to prove it to Christians just how happy they are and how ignorant we are,,,why is that?
Do they really think Christianity is going to fade away? Why does God have to be eliminated?
It would be funny if eternity didn't lie in the balance.

I think scripture sheds some light (pardon the pun) on their motivations:
Joh 3:19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.
Joh 3:20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.
Joh 3:21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God."

If you didn't want the atheists here, you should have just kept them out. Stifling debate like the Christian church has been ever so good at in the past (usually by burning, or excommunication, when that would have carried implicit financial ruin, if I remember right).
Because evangelical Christianity cannot help itself, it cannot stop at the individual; nor can any religion. It wants to run the world absolutely, to tell people what they can and can't think, to own the financial wealth of the world and to keep people in intellectual serfdom.
We're entirely happy for you to think what ever you want, but that's never been enough for religion - it has to try and take over schools, politics and so on, to tell people whom they may sleep with and in what position, to tell parents that the souls of their dead children are in Limbo and subject them to the psychological torture that they know this notion will inflict, to kill and maim people for imaginary crimes such as witchcraft.
So we're here, and we're not going anywhere, and every time science figures out another piece of the puzzle, you're going to have to dance around it, because it is inevitable.
I don't think it will fade away entirely. It seems to be part of our make-up as human beings to create stories to cover the questions we cannot yet answer, which is aptly demonstrated by the massive similarities between most major religions, the most obvious aspect being their disgust for things such as menstrual blood, childbirth, conception, and so on, and their claims of absolute truth and a monopoly on morality.
The number of questions is decreasing ever more rapidly though, and religion's territory has shrunk to essentially the metaphysical.
Whose eternity? Why are you so concerned about anybody else's eternity? I think you should be mostly worried about your own.
The Enlightenment, and science have made people realize they can think for themselves without fear. There was a time not SO long ago, where the atheists in this forum could have spoken their mind only if they wished to be executed.
