I have usually heard it as "he" (long e), but some folks say it as "heh" also.Is that "he" as in the word "he" or is it more like "heh"? Sorry, that confused me a bit.

Its always awful when you see someone wing it and find words they've obviously never seen before!
Always a good practice.
Even at morning and evening prayer (when said communally), should I be reading a lesson, I will take the time to prepare mentally the rhythm, pace, and most crucially, those problematic names.
