It was a strong prejudice going on back in those days.. and the dividing lines were so bad that it took a vision to get Peter to see that God does not consider people from other nations as unclean or common and go to Cornelius house to tell him the good news of the gospel. It was the reason for the Jerusalem Council to be held. Paul explained that there should be no more dividing Jew and Gentile.. we are all equal in the eyes of God and we are all called to believe in Him who is our Messiah, our savior, and our hope.

Let me be clear before this thread takes off.. I believe, first and foremost, G-d loves all people with the same amount of love. When considering the aspect of His love, it does not matter if someone is a Jew or a Gentile, G-d loves each in the same manner.

Mt.18:15-17 "refuses to listen even to the congregation, let him be to you as the Gentile and the tax-gatherer."

So the "dog" is an unrepentant brother too...

Makes sense, and than the Jews rejected him, so salvation came to the Gentiles.

Indecently, He spoke these words to a Samaritan woman and declared to her His identity as MESSIAH....But salvation is/was to come to the WHOLE WORLD through the Jews not just one Jew [Yeshua]....and it will all worked out the way GOD INTENDED IT TO BE...

Jesus said that to the woman to test her faith--had He felt she was a dog, He would have done nothing for her. He went to the Jews first, they had the origianal faith and were to proclaim it to all, but became so closed that He had to intervene to get them back on track. He was by blood, one of them, but in his blood ran the blood of gentiles (dogs)He had to force them to look at themselves. They rejected Him as a nation, but not as individuals. I guess when a gentile converted he was no longer a dog--! Racism is not just between blacks and whites--blacks are even racist among themselves, the lighter ones don't like the darker ones (seems like we just love to hate!)

He was not just on mission to gentiles.

Matt 21:42Jesus said to them, "Have you never read in the Scriptures:

"'The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone;this was the Lord’s doing,
and it is marvelous in our eyes'?

43Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruits.

To say that the council meeting of acts 15, was to just end racism is to really deny the text, it mentions Mosaic law, and we have the historical context, and Paul's obvious usage, of said events from 15, in Galatians 2, used to keep the law people out of the church who were imposing circumcision, and full law compliance, as per the established definition in 5:3, snipping meant the whole law. It was not about 'badges'.

I know the NPP movement teaches otherwsie, but they are taking a subordinate truth, and omitting the obvious main truth, which is that in Galatians, Paul was for the most part, fighting for faith justification and that was the primary argument, not racsism which was the obvious secondary issue.

That is why the one new kainos man.of Eph 2:14-15, came after my favorite word, the abolishment of the Jewish law, that created the enmity.

If you all knew the mission of Israel you would all realize that God's plan from the beginning to use Israel as a light to reach the world, and they failed badly. Read Psalm 117 and see that the psalmist wants the nations to proclaim God's cheseh 'emet. Jesus was sent to the Jews only, but through His death and resurrection Salvation was open to all people all over the world which is why Jesus said to His disiciples to go unto the ends of the earth proclaiming the good news, baptizing in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and teach them all that He had spoken.
