  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

No it doesn't. Go ahead and try to show it does, it could be interesting.

OK, I will assume you have an understanding of genes since your reply suggests you should. So as you know, every living creature contains genetic code in its DNA, which can be viewed and decoded in to the codon representation. The DNA from different species can be compared, which are generally remarkably similar in each kingdom. So you can compare which genes are still active, which have changed and what is universal. So if you then set them in order of their similarities in DNA alone this directly correlates to their place in the kingdom, phylum, Class etc. It is represented as a family tree, each person instead representing an entire species. You can use this DNA mapping to confirm what species are related and how they spread around the world too, with fossil evidence confirming this and showing us what many extinct species looked like. So DNA alone can prove against any scrutiny that we are all related, with evolution explaining how this happened and how some life became more complex.
I know you will dismiss this with the ‘an engineer uses the same blueprints, why not God’ argument, but against the staggering evidence for the fact of evolution it looks incredibly weak. As also it states in the Bible God made us in his image yet he made other apparently unrelated animals sharing 97% of his image also, which I think is very strange. He gave us no unique gifts he hadn’t shared with animals either, we are just more intelligent as it helped us survive and adapt in an ever-changing world. So I just don’t think all of this can be dismissed by sharing blueprints, as God wouldn’t need blueprints if his imagination and power was truly infinite as described. Blueprints are for fallible human beings and saying God would need them basically suggests he is not perfect. But anyway my point is, humans are linked with all other living creatures in all possible measureable ways. To suggest we are divinely separate is a fallacy when confronted with the facts, pushing your opinion way in to the realm of blind faith.
