  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

for some reason, i've been taking EVERYTHING really hard and really personally lately. i was having a great day and then someone i don't even know said something snarky towards something i'd posted, and my mood just plummeted.

and i just want to sit and cry.
i'm going to try and make cards and re-channel my energy. but bleh.

anybody else feel like this ever? what do you do to get out of it?

UGH. this is my life. the week before mine, i want to eat everything. the week of mine i just want to eat everything with chocolate and my insides go on strike against me. that would make this my post-week. if my post week is destroyed by emotionality {like the word?}

that means

i will spend

3/4 of my life affected by it.

and that's enough to make me want to curl up in a corner and cry until i explode.

Oh dear :hug: I know how you feel.

It may not be directly linked to your period. It could be a hormonal change, though.

I went through a similar time in my mid-to-late 20s where my body was making some adjustments and the hormones were all out of whack.

If you've either lost or gained weight recently that can affect your cycle and your hormones while your body attempts to adjust.

Look into vitamin supplements and make sure you're working out! Exercise is the best for helping your body regulate all the stuff.

And don't forget to drink lots of water.

Pray. I asked God to help chill me out and not take things so personally. It seems to work better than trying to fight it myself.

I know what you mean. I have been having a rough time mentally for the past two days, maybe because I have had too much time on my hands and have been thinking too much! You start to work against yourself and become your own worst enemy and believe things that aren't true. I think you should plan something fun with all of your friends, give yourself something to look forward and immerse yourself in a project. It will distract you from the negative feelings.
