But i don't know everything, i just share what i believe. We should build each other up as much as we can, this i'm certain of.

11822 - I firmly believe the letter of first John was written after the book of acts . and perhaps there was something to what Peter said about being established in "the present truth" back then .
I think you may have misunderstood that verse from Peter. Nothing that the apostles wrote has ever changed in truth, its just as true today as yesterday. Their words are all true and in harmony, their words never rule each other out.
Peter also says this...
1Pe 2:18 Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward
1Pe 2:17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king
1Pe 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
Perhaps the problem is that none of us have perfect love or that love only casts out unhealthy fear but leaves Godly fear. I'm not sure about all that but i'm positive that fearing God is wise.
The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” (Romans 8:15)
I disagree, i am a son, not a slave, the slave covenant is over . Perfect love casts out all fear . and we become as He is in this world .
We're both slaves to Jesus Christ and His brother, we're both servants of God and Sons of God.
So do i fear God? no .
Why not? because He doesn't want me to fear him . no point in being disobedient .
That may be good for you but how can you speak for me? Maybe God wants me to fear living in sin so i will forsake it and follow after holiness.
You boundaries or mine?
Well reading the syntax of that sentence, i appeared to be speaking for myself in relation to the OP .
in my interpretation of the data, fearing God is being disobedient . in your interpretation it is not . so may the fruit speak for itself . and may we both learn from observing it coming to fruition in our lives .
What do you mean by "let the fruit Speak for itself? Isn't love and holiness the Good fruit?
2Co 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
So how is fear all bad?
Perhaps fear is mistranslated . i'll look into that . perhaps scholars need to re-examine all the words surrounding the judgment . not just "hell"
Or perhaps we should hold on to the promise of salvation by hoping in Jesus, walking by faith and not sight, by seeking forgiveness of our sins and resting in Gods loving mercy. And having this promise of salvation we should seek to perfect holiness in the fear of God.
That's a very jam packed doctrinal statement, what i find missing from it is "one who fears is not made perfect in love"
That's because you seem to be prooftexting. One verse cannot rule out a multitude of sound doctrine, even though its true it does;'t make the rest of the doctrine a lie. Like i said maybe we all lack Perfect Love and this why we should fear sometimes but also allow the Holy Spirit which tells us we are sons of god to cast out that fear. I don't know for sure about that, but im sure that what i believe about holiness and fearing sin is not false because its throughout the new testament, and that one lone verse you keep reciting stands alone and we fail to understand its meaning i think.
common fallacy . my observation does not agree with your doctrine so i am therefore prooftexting . but Jesus not only prooftexted he took passages completely out of context and made them truth standing on their own . much to learn from Jesus about reading the bible .
