when you feel depression coming on...

It has been a long time since I've posted here, so very much has happened. I started to post all that is burdening me today and then I got a phone call about a friends 10 year old daughter who currently can't even remember her mother. Put some of the depression aside as I began to take my mind off self and put it on others. The things that threaten depression still hoover, and sometimes I wish people showed as much care for our situation as we try to share in theirs, but God does not call us to minister to ourselves, but rather to minister and love others. How wonderful is our God to remind me of that today. May the Lord heal the physical as well as the emotional and spiritual. May He grant grace that we might remove our eyes from self and place them on our love for God and others.

I am on anti depressants. Before I was on them I was weak and weary. But it was only after I started taking them that I was able to learn with clarity and enthusiasm.

Two things have helped me:

Let go and let God - There are so many problem in the world today but remember to not take on responsibility for that which you have no control over.

^Think of some small ways you can contribute to be part of the solution if you like.

Remember to focus on not what you don't have but on what you do have.

I went through the floor with a splitting headache, backache, and feeling very ill! It has been horrible I spewed my guts out at 12 last night that is how unwell I became from it all.

I'm feeling rock bottom at the moment struggling not to feel sorry for myself.:o:o:o

I've been doing heaps better sis because my psychosis is medicated, but my mood swings and poor sleep still bring about a good shaking.


How are things on your end.

Beautifully said in a loving spirit.
Please remember me in prayer. I have Lupus and Sjogren's Syndrome, both of which are autoimmune diseases. I also struggle with type II diabetes. Much depression results and I find that most days strength and motivation are not there. I love the Lord and have always been active in His service but find that most times in leading or teaching it takes all I have and I spend the next week regaining my strength and stamina. God is good for He said if we do our best, He will do the rest! He does!
I have discussed with my physician but their answer is always antidepressants. I have tried a couple times and did not feel good about taking them. Too many people become addicted and/or have many side effects. So not an option. I believe in prayer and ask all who read this to pray for me and I certainly will pray for all of you who experience this terrible thing called depression. God Bless!

Just got back from a trip to SC. What a beautiful time my husband and I had just being a couple, and our anniversary weekend as well.

My Vineyard.

My soul is a vineyard of the Lord.
He choose the site carefully
and dug my hardened soil deep.

He removed all rocks and stones
and built me a wall with them,
a defence so very strong.

He planted the choicest of vines,
in fertile ground He planted them
and watered them deeply.

He cares for the plants very well,
pruning them each season,
strong stock to propagate.

Also a watchtower did He make,
placing guards in it,
a watching eye on things.

A wine press He built as well,
for when my vines yield,
pressing the best of fruit.

The wine of Joy is what I get,
jubilant my maidens dance,
gladness running over.
