Anything by David Phelps is good. Another of his I enjoy and find so uplifting is "No More Night."

And if you enjoy contemporary Christian music you'll love the Hillsong group who also have many songs on YouTube. I especially like "God of the City" .

Lately, I've been really enjoying The Outsiders by Needtobreathe and David Crowder's "A Collision". "Hope Rising" by Fee is a good arena rocker, and for something completely different... "Skalleluia" by Insyderz (positive Christian take on the 90's punk/ska revival).

Many "secular" artists- deal w/Love, Redemption, & wrong roads taken. Attitude toward anything matters. Most Good
Song writers (Kris Kristofferson, Tom Petty, Keith Richards)
are often ambigious on purpose.
Take the song
"You are so beautiful" could be about a man/woman,
could be about a person/Jesus

The Black Crowes were a good group with
"seeing things" (For the 1st time) can be a very spiritual song
if listened to with the right heart.

Bluegrass (since you mentioned counrty) is a hard genre to be sad & listen to.

John Prine is another one who has some songs that can get you to think--, music is like TV:

Use it for what you can learn, entertainment, & be selective-if
a song is full of swear words, or violence, then skip it, but some even sad songs have given me glimpes into worlds I have never lived in like "In the Getto" (Elvis) Most all songs have a message, nowdays thanks to JANGO/ITUNES etc we can just get individual songs w/o having to buy the WHOLE CD/Album.

Whitney Houston does some of the best Christmas Songs you ever heard. Alan Jackson has some of that Good ole Gospel,
use the lyrics boards if you are unsure. But one does not have to Listen to "I surrender all" ALL Day Every day to be spiritual.
