Sirender, I love the picture of the cat hiding in the slipper. It put a smile on my face. Thanks!

It became apparent to me early on, that often Jesus takes me to places,Hi everyone,
hope you all are enjoying your Saturday, I am watching
the "Touched by an Angel" marathon on Hallmark, I love that show.
Beautiful ending. Good morning allIt became apparent to me early on, that often Jesus takes me to places,
of people I am to touch in some fashion. - This lady
hadn't said 1 word in YEARS. Staff decided
"the light's on, but noone's home". - I KNEW different, I always do.
So, I would spend a few extra snatches of time with her,
softly speaking to her, saying how I would LOVE to hear her sing (she had photos of herself, facing her from her wall, when she sang at church). - Nothing; except one CNA said "You talk to her, like she's your mother, I'm touched".
I said "I can just pretend she isyou know"
Then, one day, a faint smile. Followed days later, by a hand clasping mine, holding on for dearlife.
And, to the shock of everyone, one night, she started in a sure-voiceto SING "the Star-spangled Banner"
no less at 3 in the morning. - And when the CNA told her family, they wanted to meet me, saying 'you must be an angel' - I said: "You know, we are all each Called
to be an angel" ~

I know what you meanBrinny,
There I was at this home, the husband says: "She accepts passing, but is afraid", &
the rest of the family did this little quiet-avoidance dance.
as I walked over to the bed, I say:
'Let me see how I can help', & stroking her hair,
started to softly yet assuringly(in my small-child soprano-voice) sing,
as I have done so many times:
"I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses.
He speaks, and the sound of His voice,
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing.
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I amHis own;
And the joywe share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known." - & just then smiling, she took a breath, said, & passed.
What always gets me, is the deafening silence, tears fall,
as they whisper "Thankyou"
I'm glad always to help people, but
I'm not a Hospice-person, it breaks my Little-child heart.

As you visit church today, remember to be extraKIND to children,
because -
"At Sunday School they were teaching how God created everything, including human beings.
Little Johnny was especially intent when they told him
how Eve was created out of one of Adams ribs.
Later in the week his mother noticed him lying down as though he were ill,
and said, Johnny, what is the matter?"
Little Johnny responded, I have pain in my side. I think Im going to have a wife."

Hi Brenda, awwwwwww you made me cry....you are a beautiful soul,
who God is using in ways and in places He places you.....
you are a dear dear heart. It is a blessing to read about how God uses you ((((hug))))
Love, Brenda
I want to thank you for your posts too, they are inspirational and help me to really think.Hi Brenda,
I'm glad my experiencestouch your heart. - They are all each true.
As you work, with the souls calling '911',
Brenda remember that stands for 'God', really.
Now we both know, neither of us is THIS. So we do the next best thing: we regard each soul with all the love, & compassion we can muster. - And having given our all, we leave the rest to God. - Sometimes, all our love & compassion is "enough".
But when it isn't, we (crywell, I do. I'm not saying for anyone else to go there).
There's been a few times, I've called 911 too: like when
2 preciouslives hung in the balance, & we needed some help now. - Would you please relate this to your friend, the 'Dispatcher': as one said to me "Listen, there's not enough man-power, to dink around in every little squabble", as she then hung up. - um, since when did the law define murder
attempts, as "little squabbles".
Bless you Brenda, for doing your hard job. -
Tho not as second-by-second, almost daily in my work, I need to make Immediate decisions, judgment-calls, to ensure someone stays safe.- Sometimes I wonder, how it is that with me (personally facing themright in the middle of the storm), I can manage to do the right thing.
Again dear Brenda, Bless you for doing your hard, yet divinejob
Annie
