God’s Forgiveness
“Forgiveness doesn’t merely mean that I am saved from hell and have been made ready for heaven (no one would accept forgiveness on that level). Forgiveness means that I am forgiven into a newly created relationship which identifies me with God in Christ. The miracle of redemption is that God turns me, the unholy one, into the standard of Himself, the Holy One. He does this by putting into me a new nature, the nature of Jesus Christ.” (Oswald Chambers)
Here is a thought that I had this morning. When you ask a person for forgiveness, you seek to make reconciliation with that person and to no longer do what you did to offend/ hurt him/her. Why do some people think that it should be any different with God? When you decide that you believe what Jesus did for you and then you ask HIs forgiveness, why do you continue doing the things that you know displeases Him? You are just putting Him on the cross all over again. Jesus died to set us free! That is the beauty of the power of the CRoss! His Resurrection power will make you new! He gives you a new nature and a new life that is free from the chains of sin as well as the misery and hardships that we face as a result of our sins.
No one will ever be perfect, as Jesus was the only perfect human to walk the face of the earth, but a child of God should always seek to please Him and not willfully rebel against Him. He is the God who created you out of love and sought to reconcile (after Adam and Eve sinned and separated us from Him) you to HImself through Jesus Christ! Why shouldn't we love Him with all of our minds, hearts, soul, and strength? Let go of the treasures of this world that will perish and cling to Him who is ETERNAL!

You will forget the shame of your youth
and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood.

the LORD Almighty is his name—

Amen! If you give yourself to Him, you no longer have to fear nor will you suffer shame or disgrace! You will not feel shame for all that you have done because He will forgive you and will remember it no more. He will think of you in regards to your new life with Him, which is BEAUTIFUL!! It is truly the best thing that I have experienced! I don't ever want to go back!

“10Though the mountains be shaken
and the hills be removed,
yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken
nor my covenant of peace be removed,”
says the LORD, who has compassion on you.”
Amen! With our new life in Jesus CHrist comes a new covenant with the Lord and He is faithful to keep all HIs promises! He will never remove HIs peace (peace with God) from us and will always have compassion on us! He will not reject you once He has you!! What human on earth can you honestly say that about?? Man will let you down, but God never will!

“17no weapon forged against you will prevail,
and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.
This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD,
and this is their vindication from me,”
declares the LORD.”

As you live for the Lord, those who are not living for the Lord will persecute you, insult you, etc, but here is what God says,

Gods forgiveness by his grace is one of the foundations of Christianity. All are sinners and fall short of Gods glory. By confessing our sins and asking Christ into our lives we are saved.

How can you make the claim that people say untrue things most of the time. You sound like a son-in-law of mine. I continue to tell him to quit wanting to know why to everything. Some things need to be taken on faith.

If you believe most people lie then it could be a reflection of what you believe you do. I find that most of the time those who accuse others of lieing do so many times thereself.

Pray for God to give you the peace that passes understanding and then maybe you will be able to accept some things people say and enter into a good dialog.
