What are your views on it?

I smoke cigars now and again and my conscious is clear as it's nothing more than enjoying a fine wine now and again. The only way its a problem in my personal opinion is if you become dependant; addicted.

I'd say it also becomes a problem if you insist on doing it in front of people who have a problem with it. (Romans 14).

Otherwise... puff, puff, give. Don't mess up the rotation!

Ya, I don't see smoking as a sin ..
If I was to say one shouldn't smoke it would be based on health and how much
smoke irritates other people. Oh and to me its a waste of money. I can't think of a lot
of other things I'd rather do with that money.

Indeed cigar smoking is expensive, however I am not one to save money. It's just so pointless. I could die tomorrow. Then what happens to all that money you saved? So therefore give freely. I love it.

I think it is not the best choice...however it is not a sin. You are free in Christ!

Smoking is like a lot of things that the prevailing Christian culture calls SIN. There's nothing in the Bible that clearly states it as sin and yet it gets labeled that way just like alcohol does.

Smoking and drinking alcohol may not be advisable past times for health reasons and for the risks of addictive behavior, but to label it a SIN is going too far in my view.

It's amazing how different religious cultures call certain things SIN without any clear-cut scriptural reference. And then they ostracize those who break their manmade rule as if they had become vile heathens. In my 40+ years as a believer, I've come to realize that God is not the big "stick in the mud" that so many religious people make Him out to be.
