Today when I walked into the room and when saw my kiddos face I know he was not well. Either he was sick or he wanted his mommy. Once, he saw me, he started to cry. I went over to give him a hug and rub his back. I asked him what was wrong, and he said, "I want my mommy." It was just this more saddest cry I've seen. Many of them cry for their parents but for some reason this just touched me more so. I felt this overwhelming sadness and for some reason, I wanted my mom with me too. I held him until he stopped crying, and then attempted to make funny noses, which made him smile. Poor baby.
Aww. He is lucky to have you there to care and love on him when he's missing his mommy.

My kiddos are older and they express frequently how much they wish I could pick them up after school. It breaks my heart.
