  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

i know you don't see it that's why we are going back and forth.
The only reason we dance like this is because you never respond to the content presented in a post. There are a couple addressed to you in this thread that still haven't received a decent response from you - you even asked questions that were answered in the very post you quoted, which shows that you aren't even reading them.

Now you claim that Romans 7:1-7 is about baptism, immediately on the heels of your own claim that it addresses marriage (and that passage points out that your claim of marriage to the law and Jesus Christ concurrently is adultery). I don't think your posts are coherent.

Speaking of courage, Paul had his back opened up 5 times by the synagoge boys, who thought as you, and were offended at the cross, because it abolished the law.

You might as well get on out of the conversation, Froggy. You already admitted that the law still existed as I shown earlier in this thread.

no no no..not "the law"..a command was given to Adam...stop connecting the dots.:D

Why does Paul say .."which came"..430 years later?

Deut 5:3 Not with our fathers did the Lord make this covenant, but with us, who are all of us here alive today.

Sure...God wanted sin to become sinful, so man can see he can't keep the law, then through the law he dies to the law.Gal 2:20.

Huh? Baptism?

Please explain.

Frogster,

Please explain how did Paul died to the law?
Please explain how did Paul die to the law when it was abolished?

Help me!

Dude..you gotta give the teacher a better challenge.

Where does it say he died to it?

Rom 7;4 Likewise, my brothers, you also have died to the law through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another, to him who has been raised from the dead, in order that we may bear fruit for God.

Here too...

Eph 2:14 For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility 15 by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, 16 and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility.

You get a c-:D:wave:

Here also.

Gal 2;19 For through the law I died to the law, so that I might live to God. 20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

My turn, this classroom must have order. I have asked you and rabbit this, but I never get a satisfactory answer.

Why did Paul say he did not want the law system rebuilt?

Gal 2:18 For if I rebuild what I tore down, I prove myself to be a transgressor.

Why?

Interesting start-up on the thread. Yes, the belief today that the ten commandments have been done away with is in fact new. I guess people don't really know their history.

I always wondered why Christians stand up and fight because others do not want the ten commandments displayed in public places. If it is done away with why fight about it?

Second, in early America, the ten commandments were displayed on the walls of all churches. They lived by them as best as they could. They understood the Ten Commandments to be God's law.

you don't know, but what i highlighted in your response makes my point!

and for some reason you don't want to talk about the law paul said that binds them verse 3.

study on what you said and i'm sure you will see it.

What? The key portion of verse 3 is "she is free from that law" (NKJV). Just like we are free from that law through the body of Christ (verse 4). I don't know how else to explain this to you. It is written right there for all to see.

He died didn't he?

was his eventual death a direct being put to death?

In fact...

Gan 4:15 Then the Lord said to him, “Not so! If anyone kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.” And the Lord put a mark on Cain, lest any who found him should attack him.

Oh come on!^_^

Titus 3:5 he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,

My turn, or you will be kept after class!

Why this?

18 For if I rebuild what I tore down, I prove myself to be a transgressor.

Here also.

The question was, "How did he die to the law?" Not "Did he die to the law?"

Please my semantic friend..please!:D

Where was sin and law operating?

Rom 7:5 For while we were living in the flesh, our sinful passions, aroused by the law, were at work in our members to bear fruit for death.

Are we in the flesh with the law, or are we born again?

Dude!
