A dear friend sent me a wonderful gift, a workbook which allows one to review one's Relationship with God.

I have been challenged by the following

The author said what attracted him to the Spirit-filled life was the strong sense of the reality of God and the possibility of knowing God now.
The Christian faith for him became a living experience not just a theological knowledge.

As I read this I realised this is what I want and need. Because even as a 'Spirit-filled' Christian it is easy to say the right words from the Bible because they sound good in the presence of my Christian Friends. but the real question is do I know the reality of God in my life. Am I seeking Him?

Can we share here Scriptures which help us turn to God and encourage each other in our seeking Him.

This is what came to mind as I read this thread;

"One thing I ask of the Lord,
this is what I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord
and seek him in his holy temple." Psalm 27:4

"My heart says of you, 'seek his face!'
Your face, Lord, I will seek." Psalm 27:8

"those who seek the Lord lack nothing good." Psalm 34:8

"I love those who love me,
and those who seek me, find me." Proverbs 8:17

"Ask and it will be given to you,
seek and you will find .........
for everyone who ...... seeks, finds." Luke 11:9-10

I'm sure there is a verse somewhere whioch says, "those who seek me will find me when they seek me with all their heart", but I can't find it.

God WANTS you to seek him, and will always answer any prayer to
know him better, see more of his glory or receive more of him.

May God continue to work in you, reveal his love, gifts and purpose to you and empower you greatly.

Actually, I think Paul says this better than I ever could;

"I pray that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge - that you may be filled to the measure of all the fulness of God" Ephesians 3:17-19

I found prayinmg these prayers for myself and others very benefitial

17[For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him,

18By having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints (His set-apart ones),
19And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength,
20Which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His [own] right hand in the heavenly [places],
21Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come.

Wow What amazing prayers producing faith Thank you so much I believe these should be the basis for how we pray for one another because such passages focus us on God and the Wonderful things He has done for us and what He is continuing to do in us and through us.. But we can only do as we receive a Revelation of Who our Father is.
