Does, 'Love thy neighbor as thyself' mean homosexual sex is okay with Jesus?

Grammar nazis have invaded this thread!

Yup. But, well, I rather like grammar nazis. They are a good sign.

Fox guy, I get your point. College kids tend to be ..harlots (is that a bad word?). >_>
And if you're a man who is a harlot, you're "cool".. It's stupid. I know.

"Bad" as it could be considered, it tends to be the best descriptive word for this situation. And the double standard of men being "cool" or "normal" as compared to women being "harlots" is ridiculous at best. Yet, it permeates our culture.
As someone who has, to be blatantly honest and frank, a low sex drive, in general, it makes no sense to me in the least.

I'm asexual, so I understand completely where you're coming from.

Yeah, I am bordering very close to the line of asexual and [vaguely] sexual. Oh well...just something we can never "get" I suppose.

Anybody (of "normal" sexual drive) care to jump in on this one?

Well, I think, the better way to describe me would be "downright weird". But, thank you, regardless. :D

Taken as you meant it, I can assure you.
[Were you to mean more to it, you would likely have to go out on a limb and say it. Oblivious am I.:p]

Well you're close. You have half the picture.

Matthew 22:37-40 (NIV) Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

The first is "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind". So we must also show love to God. How do we know we love God? If we keep His commandments. We express our love for God by obeying Him.

And obeying God could simply mean following the second commandment: "love your neighbor as yourself". I have no idea if that's what Jesus meant, but it's definitely a possibility.

I have an incredibly low drive myself..wish I knew what "normal" felt like.

You're probably better off as you are. Having a normal sex drive with no access to sex can be torturous. Sometimes I wish I were asexual.

There would be no point in mentioning the first commandment if only the second one mattered.
But the first one is about loving God, the second one doesn't include that. I guess that love would also include obedience, but I don't really see why it should be obedience towards some weird Levitical laws, instead of the one universal law - the golden rule.
