  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

My discovery of today: Papaw's gigantic glass jugs of "home-brew." ...I always knew there was home-brew in that old garage closet, I just didn't know how much. :o I gathered up the courage to steal a peek inside today (I was always afraid to look in the past, because I figured a big, hairy spider would jump on me) and snap a pic.

No, it's definitely not moonshine, LOL! Moonshine is clear like water and vodka...I think. ? Anyway...yeah, they're pretty old.

Try it??!! I'm afraid to move it! Years ago one of them exploded! :doh:Lol.

In all seriousness, get one of those kits to test it against poisons and to see what the ABV is. If it's free of ethanol and has a high ABV, it's going to be worth a LOT of money.

Especially if the economy fails - in that case trade goods are literally as good as gold, and liquor is always in high demand.

Not moonshine. The bottle exploded because of over carbonation. Likely, not all the yeast was filtered out, or incorrect yeast used and the fermentation processed continued causing a build up of carbon dioxide, and boom!. My friends dad down the road makes moonshine and such. Sometimes he makes it into creme to menthe. I made some better stuff in food chemistry lab, very fun.

If it is free of ethanol it has NO ABV lol. Ethanol is alcohol. You want to watch out for acetylaldehyde and acetic acid. That means it is bad.
