How is it that you can get this kind of belief about Mary? Even a person who adheres to Apostolic teachings can open a bible and find nothing in Sacred Scripture about Mary being a Co-redeemer, rather its obviously found in Oral Tradition (most likely) however apostolic Churches teaching that Oral Tradition and Scripture are ONE and neither disagree with each other, how do you get this doctrine? for there to be a Co-Redeemer one would suspect Christs sacrifice of not being good enough no?

Please...Discuss.

Universal Share in Jesus' Priesthood

"Dear friends who are sick, welcome the call of Jesus who will shortly pass among you in the Most Blessed Sacrament, and entrust to him every setback and pain that you face, so that they become - according to his design – a means of redemption for the whole world. You will be redeemers with the Redeemer, just as you are sons in the Son. At the cross… stands the mother of Jesus, our mother."
-- Pope Benedict XVI, Address to the sick

Mary's Share in Jesus' Priesthood

"Immaculate Mother,
in this place of grace,
called together by the love of your Son Jesus
the Eternal High Priest, we,
sons in the Son and his priests,
consecrate ourselves to your maternal Heart,
in order to carry out faithfully the Father’s Will.
We are mindful that, without Jesus,
we can do nothing good (cf. Jn 15:5)
and that only through him, with him and in him,
will we be instruments of salvation
for the world.
Bride of the Holy Spirit,
obtain for us the inestimable gift
of transformation in Christ.
Through the same power of the Spirit that
overshadowed you,
making you the Mother of the Saviour,
help us to bring Christ your Son
to birth in ourselves too.
May the Church
be thus renewed by priests who are holy,
priests transfigured by the grace of him
who makes all things new.
Mother of Mercy,
it was your Son Jesus who called us
to become like him:
light of the world and salt of the earth
(cf. Mt 5:13-14).
Help us,
through your powerful intercession,
never to fall short of this sublime vocation,
nor to give way to our selfishness,
to the allurements of the world
and to the wiles of the Evil One.
Preserve us with your purity,
guard us with your humility
and enfold us with your maternal love
that is reflected in so many souls
consecrated to you,
who have become for us
true spiritual mothers.
Mother of the Church,
we priests want to be pastors
who do not feed themselves
but rather give themselves to God for their brethren,
finding their happiness in this.
Not only with words, but with our lives,
we want to repeat humbly,
day after day,
Our “here I am”.
Guided by you,
we want to be Apostles
of Divine Mercy,
glad to celebrate every day
the Holy Sacrifice of the Altar
and to offer to those who request it
the sacrament of Reconciliation.
Advocate and Mediatrix of grace,
you who are fully immersed
in the one universal mediation of Christ,
invoke upon us, from God,
a heart completely renewed
that loves God with all its strength
and serves mankind as you did.
Repeat to the Lord
your efficacious word:
“They have no wine” (Jn 2:3),
so that the Father and the Son will send upon us
a new outpouring of
the Holy Spirit.
Full of wonder and gratitude
at your continuing presence in our midst,
in the name of all priests
I too want to cry out:
“Why is this granted me,
that the mother of my Lord should come to me?” (Lk 1:43).
Our Mother for all time,
do not tire of “visiting us”,
consoling us, sustaining us.
Come to our aid
and deliver us from every danger
that threatens us.
With this act of entrustment and consecration,
we wish to welcome you
more deeply, more radically,
for ever and totally
into our human and priestly lives.
Let your presence cause new blooms to burst forth
in the desert of our loneliness,
let it cause the sun to shine on our darkness,
let it restore calm after the tempest,
so that all mankind shall see the salvation
of the Lord,
who has the name and the face of Jesus,
who is reflected in our hearts,
for ever united to yours!
Amen!"
-- Pope Benedict XVI, Entrustment of the world to Mary

The Pope's words, while not infallible, do outline the Catholic doctrine on the catholic (universal) priesthood. The share which Christians have in Jesus' life is called Christian life. As Jesus is the High Priest and King, we have a share in His priesthood and royalty. Hence we are a royal priesthood. Mary is the Mother and Queen of Jesus, so she more than any other Christian has the greatest share in Jesus' priesthood and royalty. Hence we call her Mediatrix and Co-Redemptrix.

When we call Mary the Mediatrix and Co-Redemptrix, we mean nothing more than that she shares in Jesus' life.

Co-Redemptrix could be "Co-operation in the Redemption" or "Co-operation with the Redeemer" or "Co-operator in the Redemption" or "Co-operator with the Redemption" or "Co-worker in the Redemption" or "Co-worker with the Redeemer" or "Co-Redeemer" or "Co-Helper" or "Co-Heir", but it all means the same thing: Mary's share in Jesus' life.

Everyone agree with this?

In his encyclical Redemptoris Mater, Pope John Paul II said:
Thus there is a mediation: Mary places herself between her Son and mankind in the reality of their wants, needs and sufferings. She puts herself "in the middle," that is to say she acts as a mediatrix not as an outsider, but in her position as mother. She knows that as such she can point out to her Son the needs of mankind, and in fact, she "has the right" to do so. Her mediation is thus in the nature of intercession: Mary "intercedes" for mankind.[11]Mediatrix - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaAnything wrong with it?

Nope. It's a good summary of Mary praying for mankind.

Sorry, I don't see that meaning.

Since RC believes "Mary places herself between her Son and mankind", does that mean RC believes one cannot come to her Son, except through her?

In the same way no one can be saved except through the Church, no one can go to the Savior except through Mary. A soul who prays to Jesus without knowing Mary still prays to Jesus through Mary, because God is not dependent on souls but acts as He wills. This is also why He can save those outside the Church; if they repent at their last breath, they are united to His Church and so join the Church in Heaven, even if they don't know that the Church exists.

Mary dose not unite souls to Jesus in the way Jesus unites souls to God - she is not a goddess-woman, not a hypostatic union, and not a savior - but prays for souls to Jesus, asking Him for graces just as she asked Him for a miracle at Cana. In this way she is our exemplar of how to pray, and it is because she is an exemplary Christian at Cana, at Calvary, and throughout her life that we look to her for the example of how to imitate God in Jesus, who is the Model of Holiness as Holiness Incarnate.

Mary dose not separate souls from Jesus, as if a saint could do that, but asks Jesus for graces for souls. This is why I explain her in the context of Christian life: Just as Christians pray to souls, she prays to souls; just as Christians mediate, she mediates; just as Christians stand between God and sinners, she stands between God and sinners: You might not agree that this is correct nor understand the fullness of the truth of share in the mediation of Christ, but in time you will.

Mary is Co-Redeemer and Mediatrix by her share in Jesus' life. If you pray for a soul, you are a co-redeemer and mediator. In order to cease sharing in Jesus' redemptive and mediating work, you must cease to do good work, because any good done is God's and God's work always saves soul: Hence, any good done is a share in the work of Christ. But if you do good and if you pray and if you love God, than you are a co-redeemer and a mediator.

Every saint in Heaven is a co-redemptor and mediator, a redeemer and co-mediator, but only Mary gets the titles Co-Redemptrix and Mediatrix because, as I already said, she is Jesus' Mother and Queen.

Before you sola scriptura Christians ask me where Marian doctrines are in the Bible, I ask you to respect the Catholic Church and stop pushing your beliefs on us. We don't hold the belief of sola scriptura, so we don't look to Scripture for everything as you do. If you want to understand our doctrines, than you can look to our sources of doctrines: the Word of God: the written Word (Scripture) and the oral Word (Tradition), the former of which came from the latter since the Scripture did not exist in Apostolic Times but every sacred word passed down orally from the Apostles to their successors. Whatever is not in Scripture is in Tradition, whatever is in Tradition is in Scripture, and whatever is not in Tradition is not in Scripture: For example: Purgatory, indulgences, and sola scriptura, respectively.

In addition, you can read the writings of the Church Fathers and the Jewish Tradition (Rabbinic Writings) for more information on Jesus and His Church.

But oral tradition is suppose to agree with scripture, and scripture with Oral tradition ;)

Ah but you should listen to what the Pope says! The Pope is a very wise person. This is testified to the fact that even many Evangelical Christians like him. :)

As I said ...there is nothing in the bible about mary being a co-mediatrix ..NOTHING .. If you have to rely almost totaly on something else that goes against or is not consitent with scriture .. which is the WORD of God and the work of the holy spirit .. then its questionable to base a major doctrine on what is a spiritual vapour ...

the pope is the chief priest ...

Cool.
