CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It is always interesting to see what the weather is upstairs.
Here in down town Frankston in the land down under it will be "Local fog or drizzle clearing during the morning. A partly cloudy afternoon. Light winds. Min 10C, 50F; Max 17C, 63F.

We just had a gullywasher of a rainstorm. Now it's just raining. Temps have dropped to 60's. That feels better at least.

We've had 1.16 inches of rain in the last 24 hours, and the forecast is for some more over the next couple of days. Temperatures are mild in the mid 60sF, and it feels great outside. I give thanks that the farmers and ranchers got the rain that they needed. It was also great for our new garden and our attempts to re-establish our lawn.

Cool and overcast. It hasn't gotten warmer than 63F today. Rain is predicted, and it looks like it's coming.
