  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Biggest loser on CF.....

My biggest problem is portion control. Too much "good" food can still make you fat. I love working out, so that's not a problem anymore.

I already lost 67 pounds in a little over a year and have kept it off for a year. Now, I want to lose those last 15 pounds. I hear those few pounds are the hardest to lose.
No way!
I could eat apples and oranges all day!
Mmmmmmmmm tasty.
I do need to hit the gym more though.

I think the last 15 pounds might be the hardest to lose only because your paying too close attention to it desperate to lose it. ( Not you personally but just people in general trying to lose weight)

I stopped paying attention after I got to 200 and even ended up losing another 20 pounds without knowing it.

My only advice is to not spend as close attention to it and just enjoy eating healthy and working out.

I'm planning to hit the gym in January when me and one of my friends get paid.
How much does it cost nowadays? 20 dollars a month? If it's pretty cheap I might go to the gym or just buy some free weights and just work out at home.

Need to work mah sexy muskles :)

I'm not sure and we live in different countries so I can't tell you how much gyms are in the USA lol. :)

I plan to go to my uni one, which is £60 for a year! :)

Good luck with the working out. Yeah, you could do it at home but joining the gym will probably motivate and encourage you to go through with it.

Yeah motivation is key. 60 pounds? that's probably about 20 or 30 dollars here in Canada I think.
Wait maybe that's wrong...Is a pound halved or doubled for a Canadian dollar?
Oh crap. Good thing there's google.
Where would the world be without it? Lol

Haha, yeah I know!! Google is such a fountain of information :D. So did you find out?
Yeah so I guess 60 pounds Is about 96.70800 US dollars. I think US dollars and Canadian dollars are pretty close to each other so I think It would be about 100 dollars a year for your 60 pounds.

Do I ever sound like a nerd right now. Lol

Yes, I am a vegetarian :)...tried being vegan for 5 days and failed. If you ever want any advice, just ask :).
Awesome! :)
Thanks. I bet it's a lot better health-wise being vegetarian too. Plus meat takes forever to digest which kinda sucks.

Mmmm broccoli and melted cheese. Cauliflower and cheese. Brussel sprouts and cheese.
Cheese and cheese.

I love cheese Mmmmm. Everything goes good with cheese.
Ever try Rice with eggs, mushrooms and a crap ton of melted cheese?
Good stuff. :)
Mmmm now I'm hungry.

Crap I think I need an avatar.

I was walking yesterday and felt like the US post office...out in rain, snow, or shine. It may be cold, snowy/slushy, and windy out but I am determined to keep up with my outdoor workouts.

I've tried gym workouts before, but I've had more success with walking up and down a long hilly road (in addition to strength training at home). And a bonus is that outdoor workouts are free.

I don't feel comfortable sharing how much weight I want to lose or how many pounds I've lost, but I'm here for weight loss support :)

I'm not a huge fan of cheese actually and try to avoid it (which is difficult considering that a lot of veggie recipes have cheese in them). The only cheeses I do really like are Stilton and Goat's Cheese but I don't even like to have it that often. If you are planning to lose more weight, then maybe it would be a good idea to ditch the cheese...I am not telling you what to do ;):p just saying...lol.

Nope, never tried that combination, well I have but not with cheese :). I love rice, it is one of my favourite things to eat. :)

Your brave. It snows here every year from around October, November to around March. But lately it's been pretty nice out. I really need to start running or at least jogging again. I actually miss the adrenalin of doing that.

No time like the present!! I used to run everynight but then my trainers became worn out and a hole appeared in them, so I had to wait to get new trainers and by then I lost the enthusiam for it. I still go walking though, sometimes at 2am lol. I actually got stopped by the police whilst on one of my walks.^_^
