Or maybe when God "shook up" the earth, fossils got embedded into coal seams? Does that sound ridiculous? It should.

According to AV, fossil leaves in coal occured when the ancient super race dug out coal, heated it until it because malleable, then rolled it around in leaves and stuck it back in the ground. He seriously said that...

There was a race of extraterrestrial beings on this planet back in Genesis 6, that could have engaged in supermining activity, superfarming activity, super[whatever] activity.

And if they dug up anthracite, softened it [for whatever reason] and rolled it around on the ground so that they picked up some leaves and/or fossils --- so be it.

They may have even mixed bone and leaves together in anthracite, to form some sort of cannon power or something, for all I know.

In any event, tektite could have been formed by some high-energy activity going on.

In short --- this stuff you see was not formed here naturally --- but is a byproduct of a period of time when a superrace [of angels] inhabited the earth.

I'm almost certain you won't go with this explanation, but one thing is for sure --- I've answered this now about how many times --- in this thread, alone?

OK.... which part was "telephone-gamed?" That the coal was re-inserted into the ground? Isn't that part necessary, considering that is where it is now??

Did you read where I said 'have someone come along and mistake the now brown leaves...'?

That's 'mistake' --- as in 'goof'.

Not everyone walks around with a Carbon-dating kit.

People who date the age of leaves do use carbon dating kits. You still need to explain why leaves buried in lake varves have less and less 14C as you go down, and why these 14C dates are consistent with 50,000 years of uninterrupted annual diatom layers. Who made these layers prior to 4,000 BC? Why do they mimic layers produced by annual diatom blooms?

AV? Please don't forget my question....
For the sake of clarity then, what word would you use?

God ____ the world about 6000 years ago, and starting from the moment he ____ it, it was 4.5 billion years old

What word would you put in the blank?
Created.

So basically what you're saying, AV, is that god 'created' a universe that appears to be 13.7b yo, and an earth that appears to have been 'created' complete with an evolutionary history of 4.5b yo, but is in all reality 6000 yo?

One question then; why?

You're falling over your own terminology.

As long as you play this Telephone Game, you're not going to understand.

Have you guys ever heard of conceptual blockbusting?

Nope. No falling. Your hypothesis is about as sound as the Titanic in an iceburg obstacle course.

You think I'm "falling over" my own terminology, when in fact, when I recite the implications back to you, it sounds pretty silly.

Okay, so just to clarify, AV, you would say that God created the world about 6000 years ago, and starting from the moment he created it, it was 4.5 billion years old. Correct?
Yes --- correct.

Thanks. Now, another question...

Now imagine two universes. One was created 6000 or so years ago as we said just now with the "embedded age" of billions of years, and the other has actually existed for those billions of years (it was created/came into being/whatever term applies to this particular universe all those billions of years ago - for the sake of a term, we'll call this "actual age").

Is there anything that could happen in the universe with the embedded age (that was created by God 6000 years ago) that could not happen in the universe with actual age (that was created billions of years ago)?

Age Definition | Definition of Age at Dictionary.com
–noun 1. the length of time during which a being or thing has existed; length of life or existence to the time spoken of or referred to: trees of unknown age; His age is 20 years.
age - Definition from the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary
1 a : the time of life at which some particular qualification, power, or capacity arises or rests <the voting age is 18>; specifically : majority b : one of the stages of life c : the length of an existence extending from the beginning to any given time <a boy 10 years of age> d : lifetime e : an advanced stage of life

According to both definitions (specifically definition c from Webster's) age requires the passage of time; it is a measurement. Using proper English, the age of the universe AV describes is 6000 years.

"Embedded Age" is nothing more then a word game.

Also it's bad theology and broken logic. The 6000 year timeline was gained from biblical geneologies. If the universe was created with embedded age, wouldn't it's people have embedded geneologies as well? Doesn't that invalidate the dating method?

While we're talking about fictitious characters, did y-Hanzel and mtDNA Gretel have belly buttons?
He's not talking biblical adam and eve, he's talking the first living things to have a y chromosome and mitochondria (separate entities)
