CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Oh wow! Not many people compliment my photos

I'm probably not though. Here is an interesting photo I bothered to upload. Its me and my sister at our old grade school. I am on the left, she is on the right. I am 4, she is 6.
This was our uniform. I went to a private school. Public schools in New Zealand have a uniform (and so through middle school and high school) but in grade school public schools do not enforce it. But at private schools, the uniforms are elaborate and enforced very strictly. This was our winter uniform.

My friends volunteered to ring the bell and wanted to add their own special flair to the whole thing. People loved it. I brought them hot coffee and they loved me for it.

Really?? We sing that before every meal! We sing it sometimes to Jaws, Gilligan's Island, the Backstreet Boys, Willy Wonka.. every so often, a new staff member thinks of a new way to sing it.

I love it! I used to do the same thing with one of my nephews!
I would have loved to have grown up so close to my aunts and uncles like that. But we lived in different cities or states. So whenever we saw them it was usually more formal.
One time my aunt sent me a gift because I was her favorite or something. I hated that. It made my brother mad and he said something that made me feel horrible. Back when I was already having enough social problems. The gift wasn't worth that, I promise you.

So...here are some photos from the camping trip N and I went on a couple of weeks ago
Here's N starting a fire for us on the first night...I wish there was an emoticon for the arrhhh - arhhh sound that Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor made on Tool Time It would make this photo seem more manly somehow

Here's a few more of the lake
We went for a bike ride the second day and saw several covered bridges. I made N buy a "basket" for his bicycle so his dog Holly could go with us. He said the gray nylon one made it seem more manly - LOL We ordered it online and when it arrived it was packed in a box with a photo of a PINK one on the front...I thought N was going to die but luckily it was just the packaging
and here we are - hot and sweaty - at the end of the ride

It was a very beautiful lake and the weather was just awesome!!! And thanks! We had an amazing time camping and an even better time at the beach for the 4th! As soon as my camera charges up, I'll torture you all with those photos tooThe lake was beautiful and yaaaaaay! I'm glad you guys had a nice time.

And I know, right! Holly was actually his ex's dog but when she left N, she left Holly too so Holly became his dog and now she's becoming "our" dog! Oh and Holly looks even MORE like a girly dog when her hair is longer!

This past weekend when we were at the beach we had two total strangers at two totally different times come up to us and tell us that we make a "lovely" couple I thought that was very sweet and totally random too! I'll have to find a picture of Holly when her hair is longer...she is even CUTER!

Me on my birthday. I am easily won over; my mom bought me a latte for my birthday and it was a great start. Wish it would have ended so awesome, but that's ok. I was way excited for it.
If you make it to the other side of the country, I will totally get you a latte for your birthday. Even if I have to cross state lines to do it.
