No, I poorly worded my post. I expected that it was understood that evolution takes place over centuries. I never meant that sudden changes would be made. That is ludicrous.

Your average monkey turning into something like a human in centuries is still way too sudden. Unless "centuries" includes everything upwards of centuries, too.

I am in Artificial Intelligence (computers) math is much more interesting than science.

You do understand that you have not proved anything about anything as well. You are wanting us to disprove something that hasn't been proven. I know there is a book you can read about that.

I for one only want you to back up your claim that evolution is more fiction than science. I'm willing to assume that you are familiar with the evidence and have valid reasons to reject it... but my willingness melts away pretty quickly if you refuse to do so.

BTW, I'm happy to discuss any particular area of evidence. I'm even happy to list a few of them so it's easier for you to begin refuting them.

However, if you do not at least demonstrate an understanding of the subject, your opinion of it means about as much as a blind man's evaluation of the use of colour by van Gogh.

Yeah, a geologist. IIRC there was a thread looong ago where he said that volcanoes are not mountains, or something like that. The geologists used to have their own... interesting discussions with him.

From what I remember, Juvenissun's geology is like Mark Kennedy's genetics...

If I want to teach someone about Christ, then I'll talk about Christ and why I believe he is the savior.

If they ask me how I can reconcile my faith in Christ with my acceptance in evolution then I will tell them about how reading Kenneth Miller's book Finding Darwin's God (Miller is a Christian Evolutionary Biologist) helped me to do so.

Actually, knowing enough about evolution to start being able to discuss it in a meaningful way would take about as much work as getting a good grasp of calculus.

I don't know the first thing about calculus. If I were to go to a math forum and try to engage in an intelligent conversation I'd look silly. Which is why I don't do it. (But, they don't get the analogy you're trying to make Hespera...)

Look, we're all perfectly capable of spelling out how evolution works, posting videos, and drawing diagrams for you. However, you're perfectly capable of doing this research yourself. We're not here to explain everything about evolution in one post, we're here to have intelligent discussions and maybe a few laughs along the way.

Do some honest research, think of a question, then come back and we'll answer it for you. But "hey, i'm too lazy to read about evolution so I'm just going to observe you guys' attitudes to determine whether it's legit" isn't going to fly. Sorry.

I study Cultural Anthropology at the University of West Florida. I'm not a scientist. It's called Social Science.

I am willing to explain evolution in a lot of detail to you but I need to ask a question first:

Are you open to the possibility that what you believe may be wrong?

I already got an answer from AV and he knows he's right because he knows he's right. That's definitely his prerogative but I won't waste my time if you're unwilling to even consider the evidence as possibly being true.

I guess I'm a meaner person. I like or dislike people based on their personality and attitudes. I can't relate with AV here. So, I'm guessing I wouldn't be able to relate to him in a face to face conversation.
