CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

dB's story cracked me up...sorry dude...not necessarily laughing AT you. I know the pain jalepenos can cause...I rubbed my eyes once (allergies!! arrgh!) after eating something from my favourite hangout that had a ton of hotsauce on it. ouch! (although I think your situation sounds more painful...;0)

IJWTS that I work in TV News and today was the most difficult day yet.
2 House Fires
2 Motor Vehicle Accidents w/ many Injuries
1 Armed Home Invasion, and
1 Overturned ATV w/ 2 Injuries
plus, twice threatened.
And just to know that maybe once a week I get that story that's rewarding, like kids getting a new playground.. or opening day at the ballpark.
But the last 8 hours just make me want to curl up and go to bed.
So, with that...

I just realized your location is Evansville.
I used to work in radio news but I'm up here in Marion (Grant County) and nothing much usually happens here but right before I changed jobs, we had 5 murders in one year. It was a weird year! I always preferred the 'feel good' stories but unfortunately the boss looked down on them as too much 'fluff.' Anywhooo..I feel your pain. Have a good night's rest.
