CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am pretty sure a couple of comments here have been aimed at me, good and bad. I hate the whole anonymity thing. Just like the anonymous reports where people can hide behind a keyboard. I t bothers me. I respect most people here and if I really needed to tell them something, I would tell them. The couple of people I do not respect, know it.
Good or bad, I would rather know where someone stands and what they think of me. Sometimes, I may have done something to hurt or upset someone and never realized it. I would prefer the chance to make it right if it I did that.
But, in the spirit of the thread:
* I can't give you what you want and it's killing me. I'm starting to see, that maybe we're not meant to be
*Smile, like you've got nothing to prove. No matter what you might do, there's always someone out there cooler than you.
*We knew how to laugh, and we knew how to cry. We sure knew how to live, but we will never say die.
And for everyone reading the thread: It's better to say to much, then to never say what you need to say.

Jesus offers so much more than any media could ever give us, and He can fill that void that you have in your life right now "seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all of these things shall be added unto you"... focus on Him, and He will fill that void of sadness and despair with love and joy

-Give your worries to the Lord and trust Him. He'll take care of it no matter what the situation. Sure, the outcome may not be what we wish for, but if it is His will than it shall be done. We just need the humility and occasional insight to realize it and accept it.
-Read about Elder Porphyrios and Fr. Arseny. You will like them both.
