  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Some observations:

She's hot

She believes in creationism

She doesn't like gays

She's hot

Check out alaskapodshow dot com. The dork who interviews her practically quakes in his boots talking to this fine female. "It's so good to be on you...I mean walk with you...." Uh hum. Yeah.

Yeah, I would entertain the idea of creationism with the Governor, sure.

So not liking gays is a positive characteristic of someone? And is somehow relavent or important to being in a leading position in the country?

I have been thus reminded of why i don't post here anymore.

Also apparently it leads to such fundamentalists, when questioned on that subject to cry persecution! and trolling. Go figure.

You should, it's nice to be reminded that there are still multitudes of the sane in attendance.

Massive rumors are swelling around Sarah Palin now. It's amazing how many allegations have come out in such a short period of time. While the enquirer is not exactly known for pulitizer prize journalism, it's credibility has been bolstered with the accurate uncovering of edwards business. Now, the republicans are feeling the heat:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/09/03/mccain-camp-battles-natio_n_123696.html

The stuff alleged is pretty serious; an extramarital affair, lots of drugs with names that are difficult to pronounce, and massive out of wedlock sex involving the children.

Even if ALL the rumors are untrue, which seems unlikely, Palin has made so many enemies, it seems unlikely that the flow of rumors and allegations will end anytime soon, whether those rumors prove accurate or otherwise.

The Gospel and the Apostolic witness is not hidden in a dark cave anywhere. The New Testament is a quick and easy read.

Do you have any idea "who" becomes a Christian?

She'll make a great VP.

Comparing the condition of Alaska to what Chicago's inner city is today, it is easy to see that Palin has not failed as miserably as the community organizers that have done nothing to effect any kind of change where they once worked exclusively.

On her watch as mayor, Wasilla was the only town in Alaska to charge rape victims for the rape kits used to gather evidence of the crime, contrary to Alaskan and federal law, as reported by the USA Today and the Boston Herald.

I was just demonstrating my lack of hope that Mccain will do much good for the people. Obama on the other hand... there is a little more hope in me on that subject.

But yes, better not to get all tied up in politics... I'm just really bored waiting at work right now.

Well for me Obama is like taking a bottle of water and taking a drop of sewage putting into the water and saying it was only a little bad for the good. The role of Marriage and abortion is to much for me to drink.

Aha! I see that you do tangle up politics with christianity after all.

I don't believe that God ever wanted us to force other people to be good through using politics. Perhaps a general word for it would be "freedom of religion". Marriage is a religious belief and those that are not of the christian faith may believe that two of the same gender can be married.
Abortion on the other hand is a different issue, but, eh, no party is perfect.

Sorry to say EVERYTHING IS SPIRITUAL. You can't separate your character from integrity from how and what you are. That is beyond me. Your statement. Like being carnal and spiritual. You live for one or the other Or you have chaos. In other words a mess. I can see that in our society of rights and agendas. With not much common ground or whats is good for the people. Plainly the lack of reality in what is right and wrong. In their behavior of morality. Proverbs 28:2

It doesn't display a lack of integrity to want to allow other people to make their own moral choices, rather than force them to conform to what you believe to be the "correct" morality. The purpose of secular law is to protect the rights of citizens -- including the right to choose poorly.

What baffles me is any definition of "integrity" that wishes to force other people to violate the demands of their own consciences through force of law, when those people are not harming anyone. Integrity, as I understand it, is about the choices an individual makes, not about what he tries to force others to do against their will.

That's the problem everyone has rights in the secular law of tolerance in error. I don't see the country moving up in the stature or realm in progress of morality. Need less to say every generation has dropped the standard down more and more. I await for God in death or rapture the reality of it all.For you and me. As one stated that out of billions of people I can only help the one's that want it.

Did your bible tell you to preach the good news or the law?

Biblical standards of law are horrific and barbaric, and it's wonderful thing most modern societies don't emulate them.
