  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Dude, you forgot Morgan's Heritage, Tessanne Chynne, Tarus Riley and Turbulence!...Well being Jamaican yeah I do love reggae. Lyrics mean a lot to me and I find I can listen to a lot of the conscious reggae songs (besides the rhythms are awesome). Yup yup.

Is anyone going to be at the Reggae Rising Festival? August 1-3rd in California, Sizzla, Don Carlos, Collie Buddz, Gentleman, UB40, Beres Hammond, Tanya Stephens, Cham, Turbulence, Lexxus, Sly & Robbie, Junior Reid, Black Judah, Julian Marley and many more. I would go there but Cali is far away L

I was there one year when it was still Reggae on the River. The music was good, but the "party scene" was annoying...alot of people doing drugs all night blasting music so the rest of us couldn't sleep.
The Sierra Nevada Festival (also in northern California) is much nicer.

I suppose a Reggae show with out ganja is like a rave without x. They are out there, but hard to find :p
Florida seems to have a lot of festivals to.

Oh, the ganja doesn't bother me at all. It's the coke/meth/acid/etc which keeps people awake & obnoxious all night. Yea, Florida is definitely a haven for Caribbean music, given the population. It's next on my vacation list.

@guitarette, you see it :) I wish Beres would put out some new hits, he's long overdue.

That’s my favorite Berism.
I thought that’s what you might have meant. Florida has always been on my to visit list. Haha I just need some family down in the keys to visit.
