• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I was willing to give this guy the benefit of the doubt...But I think its over.
Muslim ties and now this? He is not telling the truth if he says he didnt know what his pastor was saying for 20 years. There is no change here! Same old. :(

Very odd how everything seems to circle back to the same group of people on the South Side of Chicago. Check out this:

LOOK WHO'S SUPPORTING OBAMA

The Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. is one of course. One of the others is a Baptist minister and the other a Catholic priest.

But all three have one thing in common: Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam. All three Christian men of the cloth who support Obama have also supported Louis Farrakhan.

How many Christian ministers or priests do you know who support the Nation of Islam and Farrakhan?

I don't know any.

But Obama has three on them on his team (at least three).

Wow. Good find, V. Looks like things are far from over for the 'Candidate of Unity', scandal-wise. Maybe Bill can give him some tips on lying in exchange for a veep slot for Sen Pantsuit. (Kidding!)

Mark Levin on WABC mentioned the Catholic League heads up ( LOOK WHO'S SUPPORTING OBAMA) on the three Obama supporters tonight.

It is from last summer. Others were mentioning Rev Wright at the same time. Guess David Axelrod, Penny Pritzker and David Geffen thought their man would slide in without the major media paying any attention.

This is beginning to look like Obama has closer ties to Farakhan than we previously expected

Guess Barack Hussein Obama missed his pastor's May 2006 newsletter too:

We need to educate our children about the white supremacist’s foundations of the educational system, the educational philosophy and the very curricula that immerses them in a culture of white supremacy from kindergarten through graduate school! . . .

Hurricane Katrina gave us some important images that are analogous to the future that our children have to learn how to navigate. When the levees in Louisiana broke alligators, crocodiles and piranha swam freely through what used to be the streets of New Orleans.

That is an analogy that we need to drum into the heads of our African American children (and indeed, all children!).

In the flood waters of white supremacy that our children have to negotiate economically, educationally, culturally, socially and spiritually, there are not only sharks in those waters, there are also crocodiles, alligators and piranha! . . .

White supremacy undergrids the thoughts, the ideology, the theology, the sociology, the legal structure, the educational system, the healthcare system and the entire reality of The United States of America . . .

Oh, I'm quite sure the mm paid attention. I appreciated the 'is the mm going too easy on Obama-fest'....after he'd all but won the nomination.
Great timing, that. I mean, it was like great timing like 'New York Times John McCain hit piece' timing.

Better find this stuff quick, Voeg. If YouTube is any indication, the TUCC is scrubbing the public record of all this stuff, and quick.

And the dirt keeps on rolling in. I love it. Keep it coming yall. It's beautiful. When the American people find out just how dirty this agent for "change" is, they'll laugh at the irony of his whole message. Obama, what were you thinking? Did you really think you could pull a fast one on the American people. No doubt, you've got the cult of personality for you, but the impressionable youth and black vote can only carry you so far.

As shown by a different thread on obama, jumping on a bandwagon without verifying information reveals the agenda of sheer bias and unreasonable speculation. If obama gets elected, CF better ask NASA to develop a space age fire extinguisher.

If politicians learn one thing from all this, I hope that it is "Stay totally away from religion, don't go to church ever". That is the one and only way they can prevent themselves from ever being associated with a pastor or somesuch that will say something extremely offensive ... because they all say something offensive to someone sooner or later.

Yes they are. Don't see the offers of internships in Obama's Senate offices which were on the church's website two weeks ago.

Have a 2007 TUCC flyer which is interesting. Great picture of Obama on the cover of "The Trumpet" magazine--the publication which gave Farrakhan a lifetime achievement award.

Oh...I see.....everyone does it. Rev Wright is no different than any other clergy. They all offend someone.

Don't think the Rev Wright is a little out of the mainstream? That perhaps Rev Wright offends more than this or that person?

this just in. Obama's unfavorable rating is up there with Clinton. Obama, how can you win the presidency (or even your own party nomination) when half of America wouldn't even consider voting for you. LOL Obama, you're in trouble. It's glorious. Thinking about the Obama campaign's peril while listening to Tchaikovsky's Waltz of the Flowers is a wonderful experience. Man, when those french horns kick in, my heart celebrates in sheer joy. It's like I'm sitting on a cloud.

I don't recall my pastor ever saying such incendiary things, but I don't go to a liberation theology church either

I suspect you have had no reason to go to a ;iberation theology church.
