short story - I have a laptop PC that I bought in Sept 2007 which has 2 gigs memory and a decent processor, etc.

It wouldn't work on my computer. It says:

Video Card: 128 MB DirectX - only ATI Radeon X1300-1950 HD 2000 series or NVIDA GeForce 6600-6800/7/8 series
Laptop versions of these cards may work but are NOT supported

These chipsets are the only ones that will run this game, yadda yadda.

go to their faq at support.ubi.com if you want to see if your computer will run it.

I'm so bummed - the opening sequence ran, but was hurky, the plane broke up, it was cool. If my computer ran it I would be playing it!

So by my tally, you have a Wii, a DS, and a Blackberry.

I need to move into your house!

How do you know I have a blackberry

Oh and I can't help it... I'm a technology geek :sorry:

Oh.. hahaha :sorry:

ETA: to be fair though, I got a corporate discount on it, so I got it for cheap... REALLY cheap :p
I'm still moving in. Tell FatBurger to get the guestroom ready.

My sister has a Wii. Both Mrs. Red and I LOVE playing it whenever we go over. We'd get one for ourselves, but I'm doing the whole CMA thing right now and barely have any time for leisure. The only show that I take a break from studying for is Lost.

As for phones, I'm a fan of Windows Mobile smartphones (I have one).

And we've got an Xbox. But that's also on hold until studies are over. :)

Oh and Josh likes Windows smartphones too. His contract ends this week and he can get my corporate discount so that's what he'll be getting

You and my husband. But he's all frustrated now because he wants to upgrade his phone, but it has to be Windows Mobile 6, and it has to be Verizon, and it has to be touch screen, which leaves him with, like, two choices. Do you mind me asking what you use and what network you're on? Canada probably has different providers though, huh?

Yes! Thread Hijack!!

We do have different providers, although there are some rumors that T-Mobile will be making an entrance into our cell phone provider market.

If you're fluent in geek talk, then it will mean something to you if I say that I'm with the only GSM network that Canada offers... which is a company called "Rogers", which is the same kind of network that T-Mobile and AT&T run on. Our other providers are CDMA, like Verizon.

I got an unlocked phone off of eBay that's was originally sold to be used on the T-Mobile Network.

Now... I got this in Summer 2006, so it's not the hottest thing on the block right now. It's running WM5. It suits me fine right now given my restricted budget, but I'll probably feel forced to upgrade to something more spiffy next summer.

But given your husband requirements and restrictions (Verizon, Windows Mobile, AND touchscreen), I can see why he's limited. If he was using a GSM provider like T-Mobile, then he could use any phone he likes.

He would have additional choices if he went with Windows Mobile 5, but he has a thing about buying new geek-porn that is obsolete as soon as he shells over the cash. He'd also have many additional choices if he went with T-Mobile or AT&T but he really wants to stay on Verizon.

I thought I'd found a great solution for him, but turned out it wasn't a touch-screen. His Bible software won't run on a non-touch, so it's a non-negotiable for him. I almost had him ready to switch to AT&T and get an iPhone, but he found out he can't use third-party software on it, so.... that was that.

(Sorry for the hijack, Constance :sorry:)

Well, if he ever decides to go GSM (T-Mobile or AT&T) then you can refer him to this site.

www.gsmarena.com

Although, from the sounds of it, he probably already browses that site.

I'm not sure, but I'll pass it on to him just in case. Thanks!
