CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We are talking about how to get this sub-forum back to being fellowship focused and not so star and reps focused.games.....what games.....I want to play

While we certainly can't deny that the reps are a major reason that we congregate here, after all they ARE FUN! I think that many of us are here for the fellowship too and it sometimes gets lost in all of the ... how did you put that? ...assembly line games.

Twob made some too., if I find hers WAY IN THE BACK with mine, I'll bump them too.
Granted, not all are Fantabulous game ideas - but the point was, we were trying to get some fellowship going.
That was the problem even then - so since then it only got worse.

Yes I do think a rule change will be necessary soon -- do I WANT that? no. Do I think it would help this area? YES.
But even with a rule change, it won't stop the private PM deals people can make & are doing now...
but .... it mite be necessary
