Questionable advertisement on CF?

We've all seen the tons of banners and advertisements on this website. Sometimes it feels like we are in a huge Nascar with stickers all over the body!

Well, just a few minutes ago, while I was typing a post, I happened to look up at the top right hand corner of the page and there was a......shall we say, provacative ad.

I have no idea what the product being advertised was, it may have been college degrees online or working from home. It had something to do with easy access from the comfort of home.

What I do remember, however, was the image of a TOTALLY NUDE WOMAN laying on her stomach using her laptop!

The offending parts were carefully covered by a strategically placed arm and an overlapping corner of a neighbouring graphic. Still, there wasn't much left to the imagination.

Has anyone else come across it?

I am no prude by any stretch of the imagination, but doesn't this seem an inappropriate ad to have on a Christian site?

Has Lee gone too far with the banners and ads?

Yes, I've noticed this too Night. I don't pay attention to ads usually, and I didn't see the one you mentioned, but I have strated noticing an increased number of ads that seem to have nothing to do with Christianity and CF.

CF now is a business. (I'm not sure what it was before. Haven't been around that long). It's all about hits, traffic and ads.

I get no ads in the upper right hand corner--in between posts tho'!

HHHmmm, it's ok in some ppl's eyes for a charismatic woman preacher to show her top while preaching, but not for the same kinds of ad's in CF. Very interesting.

Sorry to close this but I have been reminded that discussion of the google ads is against the site policy as it violates the contract with google.
I did ask that it be made clear in the rules about this so folks know. It had been in all the previous variations of the site rules and just ins't clear now.

In the meantime, if you see an objectionable ad - please contact a staff member. There are restrictions as to what is allowed.
