You want to know why you have science requirements as an undergrad? It's not because they want you to have a diverse education. It's because they want departments to get money. That's the real reason.

I had a life science requirement for my chemistry degree, so I took one biology and that was it. Of course, I later took three biochemistry courses over the course of my undergraduate and graduate career.

it's a core thing... accounting isn't a core thing... i'm sure you could have probably taken chemistry or physics

The real question is if it was a life science requirement or a general science requirement. If it was general science, she could have gotten away with first semester geology or first semester environmental science.

Funny. I didn't make mostly A's until I was in grad school. When I go back to grad school, I can't make lower than a B because C's aren't acceptable for grad students. I never was the straight A student in high school.

Me either, but we had to make atleast an 80 to pass, so I couldn't afford to be a C student. It really helped me to strive harder though, and boosted my gpa a pretty good bit.

I made one grade lower than A in high school.... a C because I slept a lot in that class..... the rest of my grades were A's...... not fault I ran solid though all day at school and didn't get home till 9PM then do the rest of my homework, go to bed, get up at 6AM and start the day all over again..... I had to get real sleep at some point..... besides it wasn't a class I needed, though I did respect the Teacher a lot and was sorry(still am) I could have slept though Doc Brodie's class on AP European History.... when I was awake it was great stuff.... of course when I was awake, it was hard to focus, one chick in there kept flirting with me..... she also flirted with half the class... but mostly me.....

in College I made A's and B's..... two F's, took a different English, and made an A...... then two F's in film.... one for not turning in papers... the second one I quit going to so I could focus on my other classes because I needed to pass Math......
