What's up with that?

Recently, I have received several PM saying that the report I made was reviewed and no action (or something to that effect) was taken.

Problem is I haven't reported anyone. Is this just a standard letter?

That's an automatic PM that's sent by the system whenever a report that you've made is closed. The auto PM doesn't actually say what action, if any, has been taken because that isn't discussed with the reporter. You shouldn't have gotten it if you haven't reported anyone, though. Could be a bug. Or it could be that because of the coding to protect the identity of the reporter, you're showing up as the OP in the reports on you, in which case, the auto PM would be sent to you even though you were not actually the reporter.

Hey thanks Sophia but I got a PM from a moderator that let me know that these notices of a closed reports come to those that have been reported against, not those who report.

That's because, due to the software coding now, the reported person appears as the reporter. It used to be that only the actual reporter would get that PM, and the wording must not have been updated since you said that the PMs you received referred to reports that you had made even though you hadn't made any. Things have changed since they made the reports semi-open again.

My information is correct, and you can stop being condescending anytime, RND. I did not realize until you posted this thread that the actual reporter was not still getting those auto-PMs, so thank you for bringing that to my attention.

What you are not understanding is that the system now recognizes you as both the reporter and the reportee, even though obviously you could not have reported yourself. That way you can read and respond in the reports on you, but the identity of the actual reporter is protected. So you are getting the auto PMs that used to be sent only to the reporter because the software thinks that you are the reporter.

As I stated in the OP I hadn't made any reports against anyone. So you are either attempting by your answer to impliy something happened that I didn't say happened or you simply didn't read the OP.

The moderator that contacted me after I posted this thread in relation to my PM to them cleared this up with me in just a matter of a feww short sentances. You are confusing the question I asked with you confusing answers.

Now, since you've managed to confuse this thread beyond belief could you now close this thread?
