Hon, I don't think it really matters how you rep. They are your reps to give how ever you like to give them. Some people are used to repping the person above them or being repped by the person who posts after them...or both.

I think we can all say it doesn't matter how you want to do it so long as you don't skip us. Love ya!!

I try to rep the one ahead of me. One time I missed the person and he sent me a PM and said "Where's my reps". He was serious too LOL!!

I remember that. Some people do take their reps seriously.

I'm one that almost always (very rarely not) reps the one before me. I use the term random reps if I'm going to add any extras ... kind of like it really doesn't need to be said why cuz it's for starless or someone having a bad day or someone just about to a star ... I guess I just assumed it was that way cuz I guess I didn't know there were rules ... are there rules ... it kind of seems like if everyone always repped the one in front it would somehow balance out ... but I seriously don't have a clue to what is supposed to be done ... and speaking of no clue ... does anyone know why we only have half our smiles to use half the time ... is it one of the current glitches ... ... I can't tu tu when I just need to tu tu ... lol!

I forgot to add I love the part about a rep being a gift from the heart!

We're supposed to rep the person right ahead of us? I do what Falling Waters does if I've already repped them recently and then I give thank you reps as a priority & people who regularly rep me.

I also have to conserve some reppies for friends in other forums that I do discussions with...

I thought this was all random? Am I confused?

I do the same but if I have already repped the person I try and spread out the reps to those I haven't repped yet.

I for the most part, rep the person above me and then either rep up the page or random rep. However, lately, I've been handing out thank you reps first and then random repping with at least trying to rep the person above me. That is, if I haven't already repped them that day.

If I come in and make a post just to keep myself current in the thread, and the person above me was already repped by me that day I just do random reps.

But I have had quite a lot of members come in here and post after me and not rep me.

Can't make someone rep ya. However , it does get remembered later when it's your turn to rep.

I do a couple of different things

I give "thank you reps" to those who have recently repped me.

I also rep a page.

I rep posts that strike me as particularly good (not just here, but in other forums).

Finally - if I see someone who is getting close to a star (especially their first star) or if someone is new to the repaholics forum and barely has any reps I'll hit them several times to either get them their star or just plain get their count up. I do this a lot.

Well.... I'll chime in on this! I try to rep one page a day just to give a broad sweeping repppage. After that I like rep bombs and rep attacks. I look for those close to a star and try to bomb them to get their star.
Rosey...you are soooooo right. A rep is a gift. I never expect that the person after me will rep me. I hope so but never expect it.

The only time I think you should rep the above person is when you are in the "rep two above" (or other) thread. Then you follow the rules of the game.

Thank you for the hugs. I really needed them after today at work. They started the layoffs. The building will be closed within 18 months. The positions will be filled in Ohio.

I need some beauty sleep. I'm so tired here these last several days. I keep waking up and thinking I'm over sleeping. Or it's been my back waking me up. But it's feeling much better today. I'll be in bed here within the hour.

Agreed - whatever works for the repper. But I would never beat someone up for not skipping me - unless of course it was Nadine - if she skipped me then I'd have to say something - challenge her to a duel maybe

I also suggest that they pay special attention to those of us who have perfected the art of shameless begging however.
