• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hahah. This is so funny. I've noticed that many Creationists hate to admit to a mistake since it goes against their mindset of fundamentalism. So in this thread, we have a Creationist saying that people that think religion is a science is stupid, but in the very same thread, say that religion is a science.

It's like some perverted version of the rules from I, Robot.
How long before the mind explodes from the contradiction?

What you think? Is that guy an idiot or what?

Have a little curiosity. That is the basic requirement for knowing science.

I was kicked out by two other forums before. One is by atheistic evolutionist and one is by classical creationist. Their thinking system are so rigid and fragile and could not take a slightly deeper scrutiny.

Juvie, I'm not surprised that you could be kicked out of forums by both evolutionists and "classical" creationists. Does this show you that you make no sense? You have so many outrageously wrong ideas that not only will neither camp accept you, but they also both kicked you out.

I suggest you take a look at all the times the word "fool" is used in the book of Proverbs and make sure you don't fit too many of those categories.

I mean, "by your own words you will be judged?" :)

I'm curious though, did you just forget what you said in the previous post when you claimed "religion is science"?

That is good. Curiosity does help to solve many obvious mysteries.

My post #7 was a respond to post #3 (and #1) and was trying to compare the two statements (both are not mine).

All right, perhaps it was unintentional or misread, but I'm curious as to know how you managed to get kicked out of a "classical creationist" forum?

Everyone knows that the only thing clearly within the scope of "art" is distinguishing art from science. And your art is not welcome here in OT from all I can tell.

This is not an argument you can win. You words will only be used against you.

In here, I never expect to WIN any argument. That is not the purpose. It is about education. You do not educate by winning a debate.

Well, Juvie, if it's about education, tell me, what have you learned here in your tenure at CF?

You educate by having a willing participant with you.

Could you say that God taught the prophets of Baal a lesson in the day s Elijah?

This may be strange, but I completely agree with you. It really isn't about winning and losing, but about educating people. That's why I'm here. I try to correct incorrect statements, and occasionally, have of ribbing at another person in jest.

You teach.
Some people learned. Some people learned more. Some people do not learn. That is not your business. It is theirs.
Out of one class, the grade distribution is always a bell shape curve. I do not know why. Sorry for those lagged behind.

Also, there is a time factor in there. Some people do not learn immediately. On the same teaching at a particular time, some people will learn it quite a bit time later (may be years). It is a magic.
