First off, I do think the remnant will have the testimony of Jesus. The promise is to all who are far off. But there is more than one manifestation of it. Your daughters, old men, etc. all are a part of it.
Second, the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy—again not limited to one person, and CERTAINLY including those who had the Scriptures, inspired by that Spirit which testified about Christ.

God's remnant must thus possess the spirit of prophecy in order to qualify as the remnant and we need to understand the issues involved. There is nothing more dangerous to Satan, than the clear revelation of the will of God.
The gift of prophecy that testified to Jesus was already operating in the apostle's days. And in John's day they would be holding to it.
Act 2:3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
Act 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Act 2:5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
Act 2:6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
Here Luke describes the events, with the Spirit being poured out. Then Peter describes it:
Act 2:14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
Act 2:15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
Act 2:16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
Act 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
Act 2:18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
The outpouring of the Spirit, predicted by Joel, started in the time of the apostles. The testimony of Jesus resulted—Peter immediately testified under inspiration of Christ to them. We eventually had the writing of the NT Scriptures which were a testimony of Jesus.
Therefore it is clear that EGW , even if proven to be a prophet, is not the sum total of what this text is talking about. It is talking about the Spirit-given testimony regarding Christ. And they had it IN JOHN’S day.
Now can there be later prophets? Sure. Peter seems to indicate so. The gift is still there. But they must be tested by earlier revelation. Just as the prophets in the NT had to be tested by the OT Scriptures. Previous revelation tests new revelation.
So can EGW be part of this testimony of Jesus? Yes. If she passes the test. Is she required for it? No. People had the testimony of Jesus long before that...."
