Thank you my friendD. I'm sorry that you are having a difficult time right now. Check your PM box.
I can't change yet, but I wanted to share my verse. You've seen me post it before, I'm sure. However, it really is significant and helped me through the most difficult, emotionally turbulent time of my life (so far).
Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."
When the reality of having to file for divorce hit me, it hit me like a ton of bricks. Realizing that your spouse is not capable of loving you enough to take the necessary steps to heal a very broken marriage is devestating. It took it's toll on me very quickly. I knew the attorney that I retained was a Christian, but he went above and beyond, IMO, when he cared enough to quote the scripture above to me during our consultation.
Each time he comments on how well I have fared emotionally through all of the proceedings and subsequent court dates for one thing or another, I remind him that it was the scripture that he quoted me that has gotten me to where I am today.
No matter how bleak my future looked in the early days of divorce, I had that promise from God to hold onto. Some days, it was all I had. Other days, it was a reinforcement for me to stay strong and not waiver.
Now - I still love that verse and pray over it every day. I don't know what the future has in store for me. But I know it's hopeful. Even if my life isn't turning out exactly the way I thought it would, God is still blessing me and my family in tremendous ways.
Thank you...I've added you to the game - just let me know when you're ready for your screenshotSign me up! Not ready yet but will give this prayerful thought.
Hebrews 11:1 - Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
Ready for my screenshot!
Now..
"Why should I have hope in the Lord?" Because God never fails! He will sustain you, He will NEVER let the righteous fall! He loves you unconditionally and He wants the best for you! He has numbered every hair on your head. You are always on His mind. He has plans to prosper you. He loves you unconditionally. He is Truth and Life. There is none other like Him, and none can compare to Him! He is Good all the time. God never fails. He's the only one who will never let you down. He never gives up on you. He doesn't make mistakes. He wants the best for you; He's your loving Father!
"Why should I continue to pray when my prayers go unanswered?" God loves you. He longs to hear from you. Think of someone you really care about. Don't you want to hear from them? Know what they're thinking, how their day was, what they did, etc? God wants to hear from you too! He wants to know you. Yes, He already knows you, but He wants you to come to Him and to talk with Him about what you're facing and how you're feeling. I know it's hard when it seems like God is so far away, and not hearing anything you have to say. It seems like nothing's going right and nobody cares, but I tell you, God is with you, God does care about you, in a way nobody can ever care about you! He loves you so much, more than you can ever imagine! Please, just keep hanging in there and fighting the good fight! It is well worth it!If you ever need to talk, don't ever hesitate to PM me.
And God does answer prayers. He works all things out for good for those who love Him and have been called according to His purpose. Sometimes He answers prayers in a way we don't understand, or just the opposite of what we want, or maybe the timing is just off, God has perfect timing you knowHe's never late, never early. God is always on time!
God bless you, and I thank you for this contest!Keep your chin up!
Psalm 130:5 "I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait,
and in His WORD do I hope."
Know that His time isn't our time. His time is perfect. Wait in His word. Wait actively seeking, not passively rolling over and giving up. Waiting is active! Continue to read, pray and sing praises to Him. Continue to serve others in His name and KNOW that He has a plan. Perhaps His plan is learning patience? Perhaps He is looking to see how you wait. Wait by being active in Him!
I would love to join this contest.
I will dress up and find a verse for you, dear sis.
