From the experiences I have had in this forum for years now, a split would be the ONLY remedy for the evils that are present.

I know that many of you think that it is not God’s will for us to split, but if you would just stop and think deeply about this for a moment and listen to what is being said you might change you minds.

Yes, it is true that many SDA’s that came here to fellowship and study have been repulsed, not so much because of the fighting—but WHY the sighting is taking place in the first place. I have had ppl tell me that those who claim to be progressing toward something have proven themselves to be mean spirited and arrogantly biblically illiterate.
They understand WHY we are fighting these heresies, but they themselves have no stomach for it—and so they leave.

I truly believe that if we split (hopefully we will), then when the word gets out—the SDA forum will flourish without the dark influences we are experiencing now.

I have posted this in another thread recently, but now I would like to reiterate. IF we split, then ONLY the group adhering to the 28 fundamental beliefs will be able to call that forum by the legitimate title if “Seventh-day Adventist”.

This means that any person(s) referring to themselves as anything other than that, cannot name their forum with any part of the official SDA name.

Case in point.. We have here in this forum an individual who espouses friendship with satan. Now that person also seems to align itself with the ‘offshoot’ position. If we split, and the offshoots are allowed to call their forum, “The Progressive SDA’s” (or whatever), and then that person begins to post in their forum the things that have been posted here, (keep in mind that those offshoots are remaining silent as to this person’s sentiments), then the world will believe that some part of the SDA church SUPPORTS Satanism. Unless of course the offshoots get brave and begin to speak out against such rebellion.

Do any of us really want it to go this far? Why is it that only the TSDA’s are addressing this evil? So you see, if t his forum would split, then it wouldn’t take a visitor long to distinguish those who love the truth and those who do not.

And as far as the belief that this forum split is ‘separating the brethren’? THAT separation has taken place long ago. Now it’s time to live in separate houses. And by the way—who separated themselves from whom in the first place?

you know Ive been here since the first time Erwin created the SDA section. He never had these Sub-forums and there was never any dispute over whos traditional or progressive or whatever. I think we just need a reason to argue is what im thinking. Pretty sad to say the least. I love you all and notice i dont respoond to negativity i dont want to attract any more negativity you catch more hunny by chasing away bee's GOD bless all .

I think you have a valid point here. The problem is that we don't have that moderation yet, and making up FSB rules is taking too long.

It is taking long precisely because we fought so much we went to 4 day polls instead of consensus.


But if moderation would solve the problem, then why are we pushing for this when we are already quite a ways into the moderation process?

Has it occurred to you that you will still have to do the wiki process all over again in the new sub-forums, allowing even more time for people to come in and mess things up with no consequences?
