I've met alot of great christian brothers and sisters on MySpace so I'm not sure why you want to put them down.

Is there a reason mine didn't make the list... see the post above yours???
Thanks,
Ty
Okay, you guys, I just went through 20 pages in the other thread to compile this. If you have an idea, please copy it to the list, and republish, so that it stays at the top.
Also, this thread will be open until Friday at 5pm EST. Then, I will PM the list to Erwin. He can choose the top 10 and then we will vote.

Eph 2:19-22
19 So then ye are no more strangers and sojourners, but ye are fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the household of God,
20 being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief corner stone;
21 in whom each several building, fitly framed together, groweth into a holy temple in the Lord;
22 in whom ye also are builded together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.

Ok, cool, but as you see, I'm not the only Christian here who has no problem with the term as it has been suggested by several others, including the webmaster himself, to use the term in some way. I agree that this will stay mainly a christian enviroment but if you are going to welcome all others to join in you have to make them feel welcome. And it is important, for honesty's sake, that if you are going to welcome non-christians to this site you shouldn't shove christianity down their throats right off the bat.This probably isn't the place to discuss it, but to clarify quickly. MySpace is cool, but it's not a Christian environment, and this will continue to be one. When people hear "Social Network", the automatic mental link is MySpace, and it's important to differentiate between the two on the packaging, if only for honesty's sake.
Thanks, but you didn't have to go through it all. As per our PM discussion, I've already done that. It's on the first page of the thread.
I love this!Eph 2:19-22

But... can/should it not be both?What is the new vision of this website mainly saying? Outreach or christian fellowship?
In the same vein ECHELON does it, I would have this and then add the John 15:15 verse underneither it!I love this!![]()
Gotcha![]()
Do you know, I feel the exact opposite?
Not about shoving, cos, there should be no shoving, but we mustn't forget that many people joined when it was overtly a Christian site. Luring people in with MySpace-esque-y goodness then hitting them with the Christianity just feels a little underhanded, somehow? Also, Erwin sees it that people will join primarily by invitation, so people will know what it is, anyway, probably?
But... can/should it not be both?
