you mean if the creator creates something that appears arbitrarily old in nature? yeah sure, God created everything last thursday and just made it look like it's all billions of years old.

Such a proposition is meaningless because there's no way to evaluate such a claim and ANYTHING can be claimed using this logic. BTW created with age=decietful God.

What I don't get is that, on one hand, fundamentalists say God is constant and unchanging. Yet to rationalize the contradictions that arise in interpreting the Bible as 100% literal truth, they have to assume that this constant, unchanging God also acts capriciously -- making the Earth look older than it actually is, or arbitrarily condemning things like homosexuality. No wonder people thought up the concept of the Demiurge.
