It's a website started up by Flesh (EdmundBlackadder) and seebs. Been running for a few months now with similar policies to what Erwin is implementing here.

If you really are a

, you can get a

icon. And if you're not, you can still get it, but you'd be lying about being one. The faith icons now are a way to say "This member self-identifies as a...", just like any other part of the profile. It was always up to the member to decide whether to put true information about themselves in the profile or lie there, and now it also includes the faith icons. It's that simple.

To those who seem to think that they can't show how they are salt-of-the-Earth if they have to interact with pepper, garlic, parsley, etc... well... what's the point of being salty if you can't interact without being hidden by other flavours, or can't interact because you are so overwhelmingly salty that no one wants to interact with you? You won't learn from others... and others won't learn from you.

So let's give this new idea a try, and do our best. I think that the Salt of the Earth will be able to show by example if we all just do our best to be kind and turn the other cheek when we have to... and other times, explain ourselves clearly and without anger our opinion
