  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Give me my jello straight up...no fruit, no marshmallows and ESPECIALLY NO BANANAS, just straight up jello. And red is my favorite color jello, but they really all taste the same when it's all said and done.

For awhile they had a jello that you used soda water for instead of regular water. That was some fantastic jello!

I don't remember what it was called...I just remember going out and buying a lot of carbonated water. And the jello sparkled, too!

We should give Hunterkirk his thread back. There's more to being Lutheran than jello. There's brats, donuts, coffee, potato salad...
Its fine, talking soully religion all the time can become a problem in of itself, so a little fun even with jello is ok with me.

Hunterkirk, just wondering. The church you are attending-which hymnal are they using? Lutheran Worship (blue), the new Lutheran Service Book (burgundy) or the really old Lutheran Hymnal (dark blue or red). My church is still using LW, don't know if/when we might switch to LSB.

I know you are struggling with infant baptism so I thought I would offer some reading to help. The link I am providing has numerous replies to various questions people have asked. If you don't find your answer you can ask a question yourself. The answers are all provided by WELS Lutheran Pastors and are scripturely sound.
