CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We have another one close by May 31-June 3... Why they are having them so close together boggles my mind but oh well...
The lines were enormous today so they also have a drivethru for their most common dishes and we just did that... which was really fast. Really good again and tonight we're making burgers again with some friends. Hubs has watch starting 4 am tomorrow so we're kicking them out early LOL!
It will be odd to have him at work full time again....

It's a different church but it's literally 20 mins from the other one... there is a bridge in between but I still find it odd to have them so close together. There is 3 Greek fests in Baltimore too but they space them through the year. But it's been like this for a while I believe so I guess both get enough customers.

There is one Antiochian church about 25 mins from our house. I've never gone there but I know OWB has visited there... don't know how it is. I tend to go to the ROCOR church since I was MP in Baltimore.

Both churches have American born priests. Our MP church does services in both English/Russian and Slavonic as our priest went to seminary in Russia. The other church is 98% English with some minor things in Slavonic/Russian. Both parishes are a mix of Americans, Russians, Ukrainians, Georgians etc. Fair share of them are converts...

We don't have that much of a variety of EO churches in Colorado. In the town I live in we have a Greek church that we know all the people there. We don't go there too often because they do more than half the DL in Greek. We have an Antiochian church here also. We also know most of these people really well too. It's actually the mission church of the church I go to in Lafayette which is 45 min. from our home. It is really nice having 2 EO churches within 10 min. of our house if the weather is bad. We choose to drive to Lafayette because 11 years ago the 2 churches that are now here in town didn't exist. When the kids get married we'll probably go more to the mission church here in town, but they have a huge youth group in Lafayette and all the kids there are like their brothers and sisters since they've grown up together.
We don't want to "rock the boat" since their so happy and my husband and I are happy too!

We've got three Greek churches within driving distance, an OCA church, a ROCOR church and an Antiochian. I still miss my MP church in Baltimore and we try to go as often as we can.

Gray primer is good. We didn't get this little tidbit of info. and the plum (walls in media rm), charcoal (ceiling in media rm) , and cobalt blue (walls in workout rm) took 3 coats and if we weren't so burned out on painting we probably should have put 4 coats.
I think after we get all the furniture in there it will be fine.
